In business since 1995, A to Z Chimney Services was started by Aaron Zambrana to help him pay his way through college. While still a full-time student working towards his business degree, Aaron began cleaning, sweeping and repairing chimneys and heating appliances throughout the greater Sacramento area.
A to Z can remove the chimney's crown and install the required last bit of required terra cotta flue tile on top of the chimney. Here at A to Z Chimney Services, we have years of experience working on the chimneys and fireplaces of our neighbors in the greater Sacramento area. In that time, we have cleaned and serviced just about every type of chimney, fireplace, and stove, and dealt with just about every type of masonry repair imaginable.
A dirty or neglected chimney can cause serious harm to both your home and your family and can result in structure fires, property loss, carbon monoxide poisoning, and even death. Unfortunately, the chimney is often forgotten until it's needed. But maintaining your chimney system doesn't have to be a hassle or a mess - with A to Z Chimney Services, it's neither!
Having the combustible creosote cleaned from your chimney is important, but an inspection to look for the presence of potential hazards, defects, or deterioration is just as important as a cleaning. You should only hire a CSIA- certified and qualified chimney technician to perform a safety inspection on your chimney.
You may be wondering: What in the world is a chimney video scan, and why is it necessary? A video inspection of your chimney involves a chimney technician either lowering a camera into your chimney or pushing a camera into your chimney from the bottom, so as to inspect the interior surfaces of the flue for the presence of potential safety hazards.

They troubleshooted our gas fireplace ignition issue and went the extra mile and climbed on our roof to inspect and seal our roof vent when they noticed some rust accumulation inside our fireplace insert. They were very friendly and knowledgeable.

My wife and I contracted with A to Z to have custom made energy efficient shades, screen doors on our 2800 square foot home in Lincoln CA and we could not be happier with the products, the installation and the staff involved with our home improvement project. Although Gideon of A to Z Chimney Services cleaned my chimney a while back, praise is never too late. Gideon was punctual and very courteous. He laid out a tarp that covered enough area so that no ashes got on my light colored carpet. Not only did he did a great job cleaning the chimney, but he also cleaned the wall and floor bricks of the fireplace, the grate, the artificial logs, and window. The fireplace sparkled! We recently made an appointment for a dryer vent cleaning. I was concerned about a service person coming inside our home during this pandemic, so I asked beforehand about COVID protocols. The Technician Matt called before arriving and actually arrived earlier than the scheduled window (which was appreciated). As always, A to Z does great work. Our tech, Tim, arrived on time and was able to get our wood stove all set for the rest of the winter. Having a good relationship with a well organized local company is so awesome - A to Z knows all the ongoing issues with our equipment so they are able to carefully monitor and offer recommendations as time goes on. In addition to keeping our wood stove operating safely over the years, we also really have enjoyed the awesome chimney they built for our outdoor pizza oven! We had an excellent experience with A to Z for our chimney sweep and inspection. I knew that we needed to have a refractory panel replaced as well. Josh was kind, respectful of our home, and took the time to educate us about our fireplace/chimney (many things we didn't really know about zero clearance model).

We are IN LOVE with our new Titan Security Door!!
We've always been concerned over security due to the window in our front door but didn't want one of those "ugly" traditional security doors with all the bars on it. Gideon came out and showed us our options and we loved the idea of the Titan door!! It allows the breeze through while remaining completely secure without ANY ugly bars.
Gideon helped with coming up with the best color match and also installed the door when it came in. We are VERY happy with our new door and will be back in contact when are ready to update

Tim came out to my home last week to Sweep my Chimney. He was courteous and professional. He explained everything detail of the sweep and went above and beyond my expectations. I have a minor repair that needs to be addressed, so I'll be seeing Tim again soon.

We are really happy with how the security door turned out. Gideon did a great job helping me pick out the right style and installing. It is so nice to have the ability to let the breeze in and have great confidence that this door is safer than our regular front door. He deleted the locks to match and installed my keyless entry lock. If we redo our sliders I am definitely calling these guys.

We just bought our house and needed to get our chimney inspected and serviced. Gideon was very nice and professional, letting us know that our chimney cap was missing and did a great job cleaning out our firebox. He was also didn't try to oversell services that we should get done. For example, he said we could buy some high temperature sealant at Lowe's to reseal the chimney on the roof for a couple of years if we couldn't afford the service right now. Thanks, Gideon!

After purchasing a home that had previously been a rental, I called A to Z to have our gas fireplace serviced. I had called around several places to get quotes on getting our gas fireplace serviced. It worked fine, but just needed a cleaning and to make sure it was running well. Two of the companies charged similar amounts, and I was told that the service should be around $150ish.
I called and set up A to Z to come out, with that amount in my head. The young man came out, and did a great job, very thorough. He wrote up the bill, and said it would cost $220. . I called their offices and was told they always quote/charge that amount. So, it must have been my fault that I assumed it would be a similar amount

It has been a year since Gideon installed our new screen security doors and we are as happy now as the day they were first installed. They are still beautiful and work as well as they did when new. This might have been their first install of the new security screen that looks more like a typical high end screen door than the older steel plate with little holes drilled through it. Our gas fireplace recently / suddenly stopped working. Appropriate startup .. clicking noises were present but absolutely no flame. Checking online I found a local business that appeared to be qualified to meet my needs - A to Z.

We have used A-Z Chimney Sweep service multiple times on our aging fireplace and chimney. They are always prompt to make appointments, let us know when the technician will be arriving ahead of time and once they get there they are professional, neat and explain what needs to be done if anything. When they leave you never know you had a dirty job just completed. Great job! I was extremely satisfied with the quality of service provided by Josh and Tim. I have two fireplaces and they took their time to do a thorough job, describing in detail what they were doing. They were neat and efficient in their performance of doing the maintenance required. My indoor fireplace looks like new and my outdoor fireplace will be enjoyed again through this winter after several years not being used. An EXCELLENT Review of A to Z! Being new to the area, I did an online research of this company and read many great reviews and recommendations! I was not disappointed, for the repair to my electric gas fireplace was well done! Gideon was prompt, very courteous, knowledgeable, and very professional! I appreciate the drop clothe and the care for my home. Gideon quickly analyzed the problem, fixed it, and cleaned the fireplace! The fireplace look new and certainly worked like NEW!! Aaron and Josh were both involved in putting together our... How should I put it? Unconventional order. Firstly, we have an enormous Rottweiler who required an equally beefy dog door in a screen door. Additional to the equation was our terrible, terrible cat, who had manufactured her "own" doors in the old screens. Wishing only to avoid a repeat performance, A to Z did what other companies said they couldn't or wouldn't: Cat door in a window screen! Finally, all we "mere humans" needed were durable screens for the rest of the house to curtail the mosquito menace.

He covered the area around the free standing stove with tarps to protect our floor. He informed us of potential hazards, and corrected a problem that had the potential of causing a leak from the roof. He was very thorough!!

We used A to Z at our last house to clean our chimney's which were a mess. They did a great job, quick and clean. Our new house had an older gas unit which we could never get working right and were afraid we'd burn down the house if we left it on.
Darrick showed up right on time. Worked in the rain, wind and cold to fix our unit. Looks like new and is running smooth. Very nice and explained all the work he did. Price was right too! You guys have a customer for life!!!!
