When MVM Moving owner, Tony Fox, worked as a mover in high school, he found that northwest Ohio lacked a moving company that paid as close attention to the clients as it did to the items being moved. While taking business courses at Owens Community College, Tony set out to create his own small crew whose focus was excellent customer service.
He saw firsthand how stressful moving could be and that figuring out a way to transport belongings in the safest and most cost-effective way possible was daunting to even the most seasoned families. With a primary focus on residential jobs in and around northwest Ohio, Tony created Maumee Valley Movers in 2005 with a handful of dedicated laborers, a few trucks, and a big passion for people.
Word soon spread about the friendly guys who actually cared about people and their belongings. Honest, hard work paired with a customer-first attitude soon led Maumee Valley Movers to rapid growth and the small crew of movers and trucks transformed into a team of over 75 employees and a fleet of state-of-the art trucks and equipment solely dedicated to protecting precious cargo for both residential and commercial clients.

Tony was born in Germany on a U.S. military base. He moved back to the Toledo area when he was a kid, and since then he's always considered Ohio home. One of his first jobs while attending Lake High School was with a moving company. After working there for a short time, he realized our community needed a high-quality moving company, so he started his own while taking business classes at Owens Community College.
MVM Moving was founded as Maumee Valley Movers in 2006 in Toledo, Ohio, by a young owner/operator and a small crew with a passion for excellent customer service. Since then, we have grown to become one of the largest and most reputable locally-owned and operated moving companies in Ohio. Treating our customers like friends and family has been a successful business plan.

Just A FANTASTIC Company! Oh my goodness! Kind, Polite, Timely, I Cannot say Enough. The two men that I had moved me, were just outstanding from start to finish! What a Godsend! They don't just do moves they also do clean outs too which I am going to be calling them soon! Love love this company! And very reasonably priced! They did everything for me. Packed my clothing hung up my clothing when I went to my new place, extraordinary company!

The guys who helped us move we’re nothing short of AWESOME! They were on time as expected, careful with our belongings, and were friendly and professional the entire time. My wife talked me into using a mover this time , so we followed the reviews and chose MVM. Could not be happier with the whole experience! The crew arrived on time and worked very quickly and carefully to get everything loaded up, transported, and unloaded. The crew was friendly and polite and very enjoyable to work with. I liked it so much that I had MVM come back a week later to get the remaining garage boxes and patio furniture that I was originally going to move myself. VERY highly recommended, money very well spent!!

The movers we had (Andy, Nick, William, and Dalton) were very hard working, did not waste anytime loading and unloading the truck. We even had them empty a large storage unit that was delivered to our new house. Very organized, Andy is a real team leader!! Can’t say enough about him. We recommend this company with an A+ Couldn’t have gotten a better crew!!

Andy and Dan were awesome to work with. They were compassionate, patient and so kind! Everyone I spoke with on the phone were so helpful and more than willing to answer all my many questions. This is the third time in about six months I have used MVM: once to actually move from one location to another and twice just to move things upstairs, downstairs, etc. which were too big or too heavy for my wife and I to handle. Every experience has been a five-star event! Where does MVM find so many (we've never had the same person twice) professional, engaging, cooperative and competent young men? I cannot tell you how amazing this company is. Tyler L, Braden, Joe and Tyler were our crew. We went from a very large home to a small condo and two storage units. These guys were phenomenal. They were polite as well as hardworking. They went above and beyond. They were happy and very fun to be around. Austin and Zach did an amazing job! I've hired other moving companies and was sent people not quite physically capable of doing the job. They handled the very large and heavy furniture with ease. I was very impressed with how quickly and smoothly the move went. If I move again I will definitely hire MVM again. I highly recommend them

I bought a dining table base from Furniture Row for my rose quartz table top. Furniture Row promised to help me put the the table top on the base. I made 3 appointments, but failed to show and I gave up on them.
The table top is solid quartz and I'd guess 350-400 lbs. I called several movers but they would quote around $400-$500, a minimum 2 hours truck and two or three movers. They were treating it as a move.
I talked to the dispatcher at Maumee Valley Movers

Update after 2 weeks of unpacking: many chipped dishes, scratches on furniture. The first day packers were basically incompetent: mixing glass with metal, inadequate protection for large bowls (ever heard of horizontal forces?!), etc. Verdict from my parents: wouldn't use them again.
In the end the move of my parents house from OH to NY was completed and roughly on time, but I'm taking a star off for the following reasons:
- We had 3 movers come in for estimate. The guy from MVM did not take *any* notes and ended up severely underestimating the amount of content needed to be packed

Wow!! We used this great company to make a major move from Delta, OH, to West Palm Beach, FL. Don, the driver, and his crew were professional, careful, courteous, and fun to work with. Their attitudes were amazing, even with the 100+ degree heat index and intermittent rain. We highly recommend MVM!!

The very best experience ever! Super white glove treatment! I had a big picnic for the guys and gave them serval opportunities to take a break.
One of the guys (sweet African American young man) found my 14kt gold earrings my sister gave me and rushed them to me. He got a big reward for that, a Benjamin and a pure leather overstuffed sofa I paid $1000 for for free.
The supervisor on my moving job was real kind to his subordinates and I liked his team player disposition.
I am using their services for a long distance move in the near future.

Winston and Aaron were my movers and did a great job. Very professional guys and very efficient and fast, yet careful and arrived right on time.
I was nervous about how to arrange my furniture at my new place and they gave me a couple suggestions and the place looks great and everything fits fine.
I had originally planned on using Two Men and Truck but found out they wouldn't disconnect or connect appliances and Maumee said it wasn't an issue. They were only $10 an hour more than Two Men and had a lot better ratings and well worth the price difference

Maumee Valley Movers were excellent.
I had to do two moves recently. The first was with Glass City Movers - who were absolutely horrible. So, I decided to do the second part of the move with Maumee Valley Movers.
Todd and Justin V arrived on time, brought the proper equipment, were exceptionally respectful of me and my items, and were all around very pleasant people. They even finished the move in under the time that I estimated. I honestly can't say enough nice things about them and MVM.
When and If I move again, I will use MVM again. I highly recommend them.

Based on a Yelp review and no other Toledo area mover reviews, I chose Maumee Valley Movers. I am so glad I did. From Kim in the office to the 2 guys who came to unload my moving truck, it was smooth and professional. Kim made every effort to align my unload with the time I was arriving in Toledo from Austin. Based on my recent experience with moving from Columbus to Austin to Toledo, Maumee Valley were the best movers I used yet!

I chose Maumee Valley Movers rather blindly because there were no reviews on any of the local Toledo area moving options. I made a few calls to other places but this was the first to pick up the phone. Their administrative assistant made a wonderful first impression! She was courteous, well spoken, and willing to be flexible to help work my move into a convenient time slot. The two men that came to help me move were young, fit, and respectful.
