Donna really cares about customer service. She calls you prior to your service to see if you have any special concerns. She calls the day after your carpet is cleaned to see if you are satisfied. They have their own special machine (not a van parked outside your home with hoses snaking up to your door) which is really powerful and does a better job than any other carpet cleaning service I have used. They are reliable and very hardworking. Their process doesn't use chemicals.

As Matthew cleans my light colored carpet and sectional today for the umpteenth time over several years, I realize I am overdue in giving Rug Works the excellent review they deserve.
Matthew is very knowledgable, courteous, and achieves amazing results on seemingly hopeless stains. He always outlines options and doesn't default to suggesting the most expensive solution. Donna is prompt in returning phone calls to schedule service, and is also very knowledgable and friendly.

I highly recommend The Rug Works. The owner, Donna, is clearly passionate about what she does and could not have been more helpful in explaining their services and fees and getting us scheduled quickly. They use safe (non-toxic) cleaning products that really clean well - a deep clean. I was shocked at how clean her team got my upholstered dining room chairs. Her team also cleaned an area rug and my two upholstered couches - everything looks brand new (and I'm really picky). I couldn't be more pleased!

The people of Rug Works are amazing! Donna is courteous and thorough. She even does triage on the phone if you have an emergency stain! And Matthew is a joy to work with. He is always very realistic when he assesses the probability that a certain stain will come out. With that information, it's up to the customer to decide if it's worth a shot. Most times, Matthew is able to get out way more than he first claims but I totally appreciate that he is so cautious. Today, he removed chocolate, crayon, plum, milk, motor oil, and jean dye from various sofas and rugs. ! And brought my dingy love

I agree with Erin C.'s review. I hired Rug Works to spot clean a few rugs after an event. Donna convinced me to significantly increase the size of my order and to clean all of my rugs entirely. Her "expert" was out on medical leave, but she assured me that his replacement would do a great job. When he ruined my 2-year old rug, Donna turned on a dime. She took no responsibility at all and went so far as to blame me for the damage. I had hired Rug Works once before and my brand new living room rippled and eventually had to be replaced. Rug Works blamed it on the rug manufacturer. I

We use Rugworks for our office carpet cleaning and they do a great job. Donna is very quick to respond to our phone calls, and she tries very hard to accommodate our scheduling needs. My boss can be difficult at times, and Donna has always retained equanimity in dealing with her, so the client who complained about Donna here must be a real piece of work.

The owner Donna is a nightmare - we've used this company for several years but are giving up. There is some sort of issue every single time we have hired them and it is simply no longer worth the headache to deal with them - especially Donna and her tendency to chew out her clients.
Should Donna's brother Matthew go into business on his own I'd hire him in a minute! He does great work and really cares. But I'll say that the brother/sister dynamic seems to add to their drama and issues as their stories as to who has done what wrong seems to go in a confusing circle of blame

The Rug Works offer outstanding value for a very high quality of service. Their hard-working crew carefully vacuum the entire carpet surface, paying special attention to the baseboards, before they steam the carpet with non-toxic cleaner. Pricing is based realistically on the square footage being cleaned. The crew measures the cleaning area and tells you a cost prior to doing the cleaning. I also have been a continuing customer of the Rug Works since 2006 and have been nothing but pleased. They are VERY careful and courteous in our home, they have done amazing things.....Donna is the best at customer service...she calls to remind you of your apt, gives a window that her crew MAKES, calls for follow-up - and best of all - sends someone back if you are not totally satisfied. I have been a returning customer of The Rug Works for many years. From the first phone call with Donna, the owner, I knew I was dealing with a very professional and conscientious company. I found her to be friendly and very helpful. I have had both Gil and Mathew in my home and I am amazed at what stains they can get out. They bend over backwards to help but never did I get the feeling they were trying to sell up. It's hard to believe the comment of 1/23/10 - in fact it sounds like a competitor because by experience has consistently been of excellent work, customer service, friendliness

I had smushed playdoh dried in a rainbow of sorts into the carpet and in a panic, called Rug Works as they have worked on my parent's rugs for years. They were able to squeeze me in fairly soon and did a great job. I love that they are non-toxic and that Donna gives such great customer service. Great company, great service. No complaints.
