These guys are awesome and I'll never call anyone else if we need tree work. They took out 7 trees that needed removal for us last year, 3 of which were more than 60 feet tall and within 10-20 feet of our house. They got everything done in less than 5 hours and left no mess behind. Very nice folks, to boot. Gilmer's super responsive and makes the scheduling process easy.

The guys were amazing! I had a very very tall Sugar Pine very very close to my house. The tree was also partially entangled with a 200 year old white oak tree. They quickly removed all of the branches and then took the tree down in pieces without even once coming close to hitting my house or damaging the oak. I felt very safe with them and noticed that they observed a lot of safety procedures. When they were done, they left my property even cleaner than when they arrived! Very impressed. Can’t wait to have them back to take care of a few other troubling trees.

We recently used Smart Tree Service for tree, limb, and stump removal and were very impressed with the work and professionalism of the team. They arrived on time, verified the work to be done prior to starting, finished the job on-time, and cleaned up and removed debris from their work day. Great, great, job. They also did the work without a heavy crane, kept the yard looking well, with no extra expense of the heavy equipment or damage. In the future we will definitely be calling Gilmar and his team for future work.

Gilmer and crew arrived on time, were courteous, respectful of all my plants and shrubs. They trimmed three maple trees, two river birches and several cypress. They also removed a large sugar pine, piece by piece because of the location next to my fence. Work was all professionally done include cleaning and removal of debris.

Gilmer Santos came right away to give us an estimate and was very knowledgeable, accommodating and reasonable. The crew were punctual, very professional, efficient, hardworking, took incredible care to lower every branch carefully and even did a thorough job with the cleanup. You should hire Smart Tree Service! They are the best and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I had a very complex situation and they handled it professionally and at a reasonable price. In my back yard was an incredibly large oak tree which was about 6 feet in diameter and maybe 50-60 feet tall. The branches were abnormally large due to a poor pruning job in the 70’s and they spanned over both my house and detached garage apartment. In addition we had to consider the safety of the neighbor’s house close by. Access to the tree was complicated due a the position of the nearby buildings

I can honestly say Smart Tree Service provided one of the best experiences I've ever had with a contracted service. Gilmer was incredibly responsive, the quote was the lowest we received, and his team was phenomenal. They took down 6 80+ feet hickory trees in our backyard and cleared out .25 acres of weed and brush around the trees (before and after photos attached). They even removed climbing vines from the trees that we kept standing so they look tidy and neat. They did such a great job of stump grinding and evening out the land that you would never guess the trees were even there. I'm so grateful

I wanted to say a few words about SMART Tree Service. I needed some tree work done which was somewhat technical, Not just a guy with a truck and a chainsaw. I had two dead trees which were precariously leaning towards my neighbor's home and also positioned between another tree which I did not want compromised. Safety on the job was paramount. I needed pros. So I reached out to google. The first local company based out of Chapel Hill I called were quick to respond and seemed experienced enough. They looked at the work, quoted me a price and then completely went dark. Did not respond

Gilmer's crew removed three HUGE trees from our yard....one that was 3 to 4 feet in diameter and was just a few feet from our house. They did an outstanding job! These were great men to have working here! They were very professional, hard-working and efficient and made sure that they left everything just like we wanted. We think the price was extremely reasonable. We spent most of two days watching them work! What a great show!!
