The Fireplace Guys

My fireplace looks and works great now! Lucas was professional, kept a neat work space, did a great job explaining the work performed, and answered all of my questions. I will definitely reach out to The Fireplace Guys again in the future!

He was good at what he did--but he didn't tell me how much the part would cost before he put it in, and it was more than I expected. After he put it in, he told me how much it cost and I was surprised and upset and told him that I was, and he got sarcastic and told me he would be happy to take it out and went upstairs to do so. I got him to come back down and said I would pay the amount but just wanted him to see that he could have communicated better, which he did not think was the case. Miserable experience though my fireplace is working!

Fireplace gas insert fan motor not working so I called The Fireplace Guys and set up appointment.
The service rep Derek was there on time and replaced the fan motor unit and truly did an amazing job from setting up his work tarps to making sure the floor did not get damaged to cleaning up the work area and answering questions that I had.
They are highly recommended and definitely can’t go wrong

After reading their reviews, I decided to give them a try. I have a gas-burning wood stove that needed to be looked at. I sent them an inquiry via their website and was contacted in a very timely manner. They came when they said they would and texted ahead as they said they would - 2 things that often don't occur with service providers. Clean, efficient and professional, I would recommend them to anyone and will not hesitate to call them again in the future!

Our gas fireplace insert did not work right from the very beginning. If it was windy out or the outside temperature was less than 40 degrees, the flame would dance around the fire box for a minute then go out and not relight. The company we purchased it from could not service it and the installers they recommended were useless to help. After 5 years of frustration we called Derek at The Fireplace Guys. He came right out, serviced the fireplace and now it works reliably no matter the weather. We are delighted! Thank you Fireplace Guys!

They are always late in returning phone calls and do not respond to emails. When our remote did not work I used them to clean our fireplace and replace the control unit. after they left we used the fireplace twice and both times the remote barely turned the burner off. This was such a slow process we were afraid ti use the fireplace fearing it would not shut off at all. I called and emailed, leaving a detailed message that they needed to come back and remedy the problem. They never responded. Mt credit card company was nice enough to credit me the full amount of the service call since I would have

Had these good folks make two non working fireplaces in charlestown into gas fireplaces. Came on time each day, were courteous to myself and my wife, and did a great job. Simply put, i recommend them as they committed to a job and price and fulfilled it.

Stay away if you are thinking of a business that at least you can rely on if needed. Last year, we purchased a gas fireplace from them with installation and that was great. Not even a year passed and now the fireplace started making an unbearable smell which feel toxic. I called them and left a message. I understand that they are busy so I was patient and they called me back after 5 days but unfortunately, I was in a meeting so I missed the call and I called them back. I have an indirect gas fireplace in the North End. I called many many companies to check the fireplace and The fireplace guys were the only one that got back to me and scheduled a time, came and did a wonderful job. Can't say enough good things about them. I highly recommend them

Very good experience. Doug provided excellent repair service and took the time to explain proper use of all features. Spent extra time/effort trying to clean 18 years worth of grime off the glass panel. All work was completed for the quoted price and i was glad to pay.
