My insurance company paired me up with Mehl and they came out to repair or exchange my Nest thermostat which had stopped working properly. The tech guy who came out spent no more than 10 minutes in my home went to truck and replaced my current Nest for a cheap wall thermostat and tried telling us it was state of the art. I told him I wanted to have it replaced with a Nest. He said, "we don't install Nests, we don't use Nests at our place of business.' If you are looking to get your AC unit up and running right away, Mhel Mechanical is definitely Not the Contractor you want. Like other reviews said he was assigned through my Home Warranty AHS and I will request for future repairs not to have this guy service my AC. It has taken the guy about 2 weeks to get my AC running again, he never returns any messages and has the worst customer service. Read reviews before this guy comes out for any Repairs. This is the 2nd service request that AHS sent this guy out and there will not be a 3rd time. Yes this is the right Mehl mechanical and your reviews

Scott was very professional! He wore a mask and used best COVID-19 preventative measures while he was here. He has been pretty busy, because of the high demand for AC repairs right now, and I really appreciated his timely response. Here's the thing with our AC unit, as he explained it; Apparently the last time our AC unit was fixed, someone installed a wrong part (the incorrect size capacitor, which starts and drives the compressor); consequently the AC unit had been noisy and inefficient since then, AND that wrong part is what caused the failure of our compressor yesterday. Our AC stopped working in the middle of triple-digit weather. We tried to manage the indoor temp by opening windows but the air quality was so poor from the smoke of nearby fires, we all had coughs and felt crummy. This company came to my property through AHS. And their technician reported to the insurance company that my AC compressor had a leak due to dog's peeing on the compressor coils, when in fact the compressor is surrounded by iron fencing and I have no pets at all!!!! Very dishonest assessment!!! My thinking is this technician didn't want to do the job and straight out lied!!!! I hope it has nothing to do with race, because the inhabitants of the property are seniors/hispanic with very limited English. Did I mention no pets at all!!!! Plus this unit was in this condition since moving here in 2011

When I saw the one star review, I was concerned. However, when I saw the owner's response, I was comforted by his authenticity and humility. We have AHS and they assigned this contractor. This contractor understood the intensity of the need and squeezed me in the same day. They arrived in their 2-6 window, and fixed our A/C, even though they had to go into my 115 degrees attic to finish the job right. I know. You may be thinking "This review is by someone from the business." Ask yourself "Why do I automatically accept negative reviews and doubt the positive?" All I know, is I am typing this review

These guys were great! Friendly, respectful & professional! My A/C went out in the summer & I have a home warranty company- so it took a very long time to get my new units put in, but that was on the warranty co., not on Mehl! They came each time they said & on time. When I felt frustrated, Scott the owner took the time to explain everything to me, give me options & suggestions. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was b/c the main number doesn't have an answering machine, otherwise folks will get good service with Mehl!!

I unfortunately cannot provide a review on the work done by this company because we did not get that far. My rating is based on 2 things:
1) the lack of follow-up by the technician since I had to reach out to him both times to get any information within the time he promised.
2) the partnership with AHS warranty company, they both told me the other was supposed to call me, but neither did.
So in the end I paid $75 to be told the coils needed cleaned and holes needed filled and no work was ever done or even scheduled even though I said I'd pay out of pocket if the work wasn't covered.

Chris came out for an a/c check under home warranty. The a/c & fan weren't working at all. He figured out it was a blown blower motor within mins. He ordered the part & replaced it right away. Contacted our home warranty company with a inoperative heater. The work order was placed with Mehl. Spoke with the owner same day and scheduled an appointment for the following day at 10am. The technician arrived right on time, identified the issue and had the repair done in no time. Great workmanship, even cleaned the flame sensor while he was replacing the igniter. Super friendly, polite, and left the area nice and clean. Awesome service! I will request them by name in the future and already plan to use their services for our spring tune up. Thanks Team Mel! Mehl's was chosen for us on behalf of our home warranty. My husband and I realized something was off with our ducts after our home wasn't cooling properly and our energy bill was astronomical. We figured we have a home warranty so we might as well see if whatever is going on is covered.

These guys came out on behalf of my home warranty to look at my failing HVAC. (I didn't get to pick the contractor...) The unit is 33 years old and tripping my breaker while running. This company ignored everything I said, treated me like I knew nothing. They recommended every cheap fix they could think of until they ran out of options (other than to replace my compressor that was drawing max amps on a cool day.) After their last attempt I called them to tell them (again) that it was still tripping my breaker. By this time I had a new breaker, a start capacitor, a new quick disconnect...

Had other companies come and just gave me the run around on the last summer nights. I request a new contractor from my insurance company to work on my system even though summer is gone and now winter here. Had this company come in and schedule a time but with heavy rains it was delays for awhile so no big deal. On the day of service they came as promiss. Easy no hassle. Wife was happy of the service. Next morning i came out to inspect the service and pot was installed nice. Filter was replace and everthing works great. Thanks

Placed a call with my home warranty. It was dispatched here because my Furnace is out. I called and left a VM asking for a call back quicker than 24 hours response to schedule. 25 hours later, still no call back, so I called again - And got a VM. I called my home warranty, and they got a hold of them. They told me that Mehl's could not service us until Wednesday. Because of poor communication, I am forced to wait while we are all cold.

Mehl's Mechanical was sent to us thru our home warranty. Our A/C quit working for the first time in 27 yrs. Scott took time to find the problem and was able to fix it the same visit. My home warranty provider contracted Mehl Mechanical to come to my house to diagnose and fix my broken heater. The technician was prompt, courteous and fixed my problem quickly. He wore boot covers any time he needed to walk on the carpet upstairs and found a dead fuse in my heater unit that is located in the attic. He had a replacement fuse in his truck and had my system and running and tested quickly. If I ever need electrical or HVAC service or repairs again I will definitely request Mehl.

I had to call them to come by to check my A/C unit for my business. I have worked withnumerous A/C and Heating service busineses and I always tend to feel asif I am getting ripped off with the services provided because theses businesses charge a lot to just come an dlook at what's going on with my unit. However, with Mehl, I felt that they were more than reasonable with their pricing; and pricing is very important for my business, especially in this tough economy.
