The tech came to our house for our broken dryer. I asked if they would call ten minutes before and the lady on the phone said they would. The tech shows up with no call. Speaks little to no English. Looks at the dryer and tells my wife he needs to order a part. Doesn't even take a tool out to even look into the dryer. He tells her "I will call you later this evening or tomorrow morning." They came out to provide an estimate for work on our dishwasher. The technician had to leave suddenly due to allergies, which was fine, but then we got the estimate and I had questions. I spoke to the admin and she had to go back to the technician before returning my call. She did, but I had some follow up questions. I needed the dishwasher fixed, possibly installation of a new dishwasher, and wanted to have the $85 estimate price to be applied to either (in the initial message, I was told it would be applied to repairs, but the installation was unclear). The scheduled time was between 12-2pm but Ali did not come till around 3pm. When he did arrive, he was apologetic and said he got backed up on previous jobs and traffic. He was able to identify the issue with my Samsung dryer needing a new heating element, had the part and replaced it in a little over an hour. The dryer is working well and there is a 6mo warranty. I would had given Ali 5 stars if he was not so late for the appointment and do want to hire him again to look at an issue with my Samsung refrigerator.

I recently used Shift Appliance to help me with two separate appliance issues: a broken dishwasher and a broken freezer. It took them a while to get back to us on the dishwasher issue, but Ali, the technician, was fantastic and took care of us. However, communication was hit or miss for that one and it took us over 2.5 weeks to get the issue resolved. Our dishwasher was having issues and rather than get a new one with all the hassles surrounding that, we got it repaired, as it matched all our other appliances. We are glad we did! Update: I received a response, they said the part has been ordered, and an estimate for repairs was given. We are working on a resolution.
The electrician, Alex or Ali, showed up promptly. He removed my stovetop, with the assistance of my son, and said he didn't have the part needed to repair it. He said he would look for the part needed and get back to me. That was over a week ago. He left some parts (chips) from the touchscreen panel out when he put my stovetop back on. He should have left the stove assembled the way he found it. Two of the burners were still functioning properly,

The first time they came out was to fix our oven and install a dishwasher. They were great and very reasonable. This time we called about our refrigerator and Ali said he had to order the part..that was 5 days ago..Since then we have left messages with them every day..and they never reply..The phone goes to a recording but they never call back..Very disappointed in them this time.

Customer service response was quick, already made the soonest available date, technician arrived on time, had the same technician that repaired my dryer. He was very skilled, methodical in trouble shooting the problem, able to make my washer work in less than half an hour. Good customer service, reliable and easy to deal with. Ali is an excellent appliance technician, installed my dishwashing machine with no problem at all. Bought my dishwasher online with Home Depot last November 2020, delivered it to my house and appliances installer said I need handyman because kitchen hardwood floor need to be cut at least half inch because he can't remove old dishwasher and place new one. Ali installed it without doing that. I'm happy with shift but not with Home Depot. Thanks Ali & Shift appliance.

Hired them about month ago to fix my refrigerator. Small scheduling mixup but they offered me a discount to make up for it. Showed up promptly and completed the refrigerator repair quickly. Only suggestion I'd offer is to let your customers know in advance if the technician has any animal allergies or fears so we can remove the pet ahead of time, felt bad for the guy. Would use them again in the future.

Had an incredible visit from Ali today. The floor of my kitchen was buckling due to what I assumed was my dishwasher leaking. He came in and immediately identified that it was not my dishwasher given the location of the buckling. He thoroughly checked under my sink then removed a drawer next to it that revealed that the drain hose had been eaten through by rats! He quickly replaced it and essentially saved my marriage. I found Shift appliance through yelp. Andrew came over and did a great job on my clothes washer fix. Andrew was very Covid safe. He was professional and respectful to me as a woman customer. These guys were incredible. Had a washer problem and my brother recommended them to me,when it started washing it made grinding noises. Called them up the lady who answered was extremely kind and understanding and put me on her schedule for the next morning. When the technicians came in they were considerate of the covid regulations and even went beyond. They wore masks and before touching anything they put on gloves and went straight to work. Took apart my washer and removed a bunch of garbage but didn’t stop there they took the time to check my drain and my water lines. Definitely worth calling

Bought RV trailer recently and some appliances in it were not working. I wanted a next day service, but companies I used to use were busy and couldn't help me. I contacted Shift Appliance Repair and they responded within 5 minutes which was very convenient. They were able to send someone to take a look. I decided to think what time works for me and call them a next day in the morning.

Shift appliance Technicians were great. They were fast, friendly, fair in pricing, and professional. I will definitely recommend them to anyone. They ran a gas line for my gas dryer and performed a full install. They ran new pipes and vented it outdoors. I'm so happy! Give these guys a tip. These guys do a great job overall. I’ve had several issues with one of my appliances, and while they were fixing it I asked them to take a look at my other appliance I was having problems with. They fixed it all. You don’t often have people willing to take time out of their day to fix something that wasn’t on their schedule.

BEWARE!!! I hired Shift to come and troubleshoot my high end (Viking) oven and range. I agreed to their $65 service fee. When the tech came, he looked at my stove and examined the burners and oven door--took no more than 5 mins. Then he told me I owed him $120 for fixing the burner!!! I never approved that. He just came in and "did" the work without asking me, showing me the problem or anything. He said he'd need to order a part and he'd email me an estimate. Our freezer ice dispenser was broken and We submitted a request for a quote and we got a quick response the night before and got it scheduled for the next day. They were very responsive professional and helpful. Ali showed up with his apprentice Igor and they were very professional they had shoe covers. Face masks and gloves and cleaned up after themselves and were very concise and efficient.
These guys seemed very experienced and trained. They are EPI certified and skilled team.
