Blythe Building Company builds both custom homes and market homes, with the mentality that each house is of the utmost importance and requires daily attention throughout the building process. Blythe Building Company was formed in 2004 and has built over a hundred quality custom homes throughout the Greater Columbia South Carolina area.
Our process begins with an initial consultation where we get to know each other. During this meeting, we will discuss the goals of your project and answer any questions about our design and construction process you may have. We will determine if Blythe Building Company custom home builders is a good fit for your home building project and if it is, we will work together to establish a targeted budget.
This was my first experience building a house and I could not be happier with the result. Blythe Building Company made the whole process about as simple as I could imagine. When I selected the house it was partially complete and I wanted to make some layout changes. Lee Blythe offered great advice regarding the changes and easily accommodated those and even a few changes in my mind along the way.
We often hear these questions from our families when they are considering building a custom home. I recommend at least having it under contract, there are too many variables to each lot that can affect design, style, and budget. We can then help navigate folks into whether its the right or wrong lot once we start the plan design process for them, if they have the time contractually to do this due diligence.

We cannot say enough positive things about our experience working with Lee and Blythe Building!
We had heard horror stories from friends about building houses with other companies, however our house was quite the opposite. Lee was very straightforward with us during the process, easy to get in touch with, and responsive to requests/questions/concerns that we had. He even helped us modify the original plans of the home to add in a kids nook under the staircase that our children love :)
We love our house and it has been a huge blessing throughout COVID, when we’ve had to spend so much time socially

Going into a custom home build is very overwhelming. So many decisions along with hoping you will pick the right builder. Luckily, I went with Blythe Building Company. The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic. Lee was very upfront from the beginning to end. He told me what to expect in the beginning and stayed true to his word. I have heard from countless people have an unpleasant building experience, but our experience was wonderful. Lee and Bobby earned and kept my trust from beginning to end. Constant communication, open, and honest. Not to mention, they build a beautiful home

Blythe Building Company handled building our custom home, start to finish, and did a remarkable job in handling all issues that arose. I could always count on having Lee a phone call away to alleviate any concerns I had regarding the home building process. Ultimately, the best part about the process was the trust that I could have in Lee to do what he said he would do, and that he would handle the problems for me.

Building with Blythe Building Company was such an enjoyable experience from start to finish. We have recommended BBC to multiple folks interested in building a high quality, high value, custom home and will continue to do so. Dealing with an upfront, ethical builder put all our worries and stress aside.
