I have had good experience with Swale in the past, but got to say the service is now absolutely appalling - pre-paid boiler service has been cancelled at short notice three times, the third time at 8:30pm (for an afternoon appointment) because of 'a little old lady with a leak'... Really...
Then, coincidentally, the heating broke down completely. Paid £120 for an emergency call out and the engineer spent precisely three minutes to turn a valve (that wasn't the fault) to manual... Received a ridiculously expensive estimate to replace the valve that isn't broken and have now got to wait for a second

Critical: Professionalism
Ok! The Contractors have no manners and are nasty ! Just used my toilet without asking and left the nasty smell lingering couldnt even open the window and left in a rush without mentioning it ! Its disgusting ! I stayed away due to covid but really should of stayed and watched what he was doing because it is rude and disrespectful!

This company is pathetic. They arrange gas safety check appointments without confirming whether arranged date/time will be convenient for tenants. Then, if a tenant isn't at home to accommodate the engineers visit they imply that the appointment was confirmed but the tenant just didn't let the engineer in (i.e. engineer was unable to gain access to the property). They are so unprofessional it's embarrassing! An appointment has been arranged for today without confirming anything with me in good time hence I won't be at home. Therefore, they are wasting their own time not mine!

Our boiler service was late & I hadn't realised, but a nice lady rang me & offered an appointment later that day! The engineer rang before he arrived & was a clean & tidy worker. I have used Swale for many years at 2 addressess & they are reliably good.

Had a leak from our heating system in the middle of the night. Swale engineer attended our home overnight and ensured that everything was secure until the following day. Engineer attended during the day, identified the issue and fixed it within a couple of hours. Great work, set the floorboard and carpet back as though it almost hadn't happened.

Avoid - as has been said in many other reviews. Services are booked but the engineers do not arrive and Swale do not tell you. Impossible to contact by phone. Three times my annual service has been cancelled without Swale telling me. Please do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.
For the benefit of others a quick update, Swale have still not resolved this issue. They promised to call me back but, as usual, did not. Tried to call them and was kept waiting for over half an hour with no reply. They clearly are incapable of delivering the service they advertise, please go elsewhere and ignore the stock

Had an increasingly noisy old pump which sounded like it was on it's last legs. Rang Swale, who said we had to wait a week for an engineer to come out as they were so busy and charged £90 for the callout which I thought was expensive. But the engineer was brilliant - changed the pump, and also the thermostat which which he said was faulty, and the price of both parts was incluede in the callout fee. Everything is now working perfectly and the new pump has made several radiators much warmer!

This company,seemed very professional from the outset,when the engineer came to give us a quote,of which we were happy with,and we was told that the installation would take two days.,having agreed a a date which was two days away from the quote day,and sure enough the boiler engineer turned up and installed our boiler,he was very professional and kept us in the loop about what he was doing,on the second day he finished, his installation, and asked me for bank details so I could pay the balance.,whichi had already been told wouldn't be done until completion and when we were happy with the work.

Engineer came to carry out an annual inspection of the boiler and central heating system. During the service, I mentioned that I had had to keep topping up the system water, as the pressure kept on dropping. The engineer did a full assessment and found that a coupling that joined the boiler was weeping. He nipped it up and showed me where to look to keep an eye on over the coming weeks. He advised that should there be any further issue, that Swale would fix the problem.
