Services
We are a forward thinking flooring store that has established itself as the trusted name to do business. We have been locally owned and operated in Frederick, Maryland, since 1979. Potomac Tile and Carpet is known for Reputation, Quality, Longevity, and our Heartfelt Desire to find the correct products for each project and to provide the utmost satisfaction to our clients.
We offer free estimates. Estimates are important because they give clients a starting point to plan their project. Typically it is a two day process to measure and do pricing once a product has been selected. We also offer shop at home assistance when needed. Whenever possible, it is to the client's advantage to shop at the store for the vast selection we offer.
Carpet has so many things going for it. It's soft, safe, warm and quiet. It's stain-resistant and gives excellent value for the price-and it saves energy. Carpet is also proven to trap allergens and dander (which can easily be removed with the right vacuum used regularly). So for beautiful comfort underfoot, consider carpet.
Hardwood is one of the most practical, easy-care, and versatile floor coverings available today. Wood floors come in more than 50 species, both domestic and exotic, and you can choose from a nearly limitless choice of styles, designs, stains, and finishes, based on your design tastes and budget. Wood flooring enhances the warmth of any home and, like a fine piece of furniture, increases in value and becomes more beautiful with time.
A room's "fifth wall, " the floor, can showcase dramatic area rugs that are so breathtaking in color and design, they're like works of art. And rugs can change the feel of a space in minutes-so you can do a room makeover on your lunch hour. Rugs look great layered over carpet or adding warmth and color to hardwood, laminate, Vinyl, and tile.

Scott was great, patient. He took his time and figured out our needs, wants and desires. Made various recommendations to make sure that our decision was to our satisfaction. Very professional. Some other flooring companies seem to ride their years in business and seem to have lost customer skills. I would highly recommend Potomac tile and carpet for your flooring needs. Great, people, service, product and price was good too.

Place has decent selection of flooring and carpeting etc. but the sales staff & floor room service is a bad joke. When asking about the availability of a certain tile the salesman said he wouldn’t even attempt to contact his factory rep. He said a sample board was on loan to a contractor and he would call me when it came in. I said I lived 20 miles away and to please send a text photo of it but he said he couldn’t as he only had a personal cell phone and wouldn’t use it. Really??! This is 2021 and it’s how business is done. The two owners are always on local cable TV advertisements professing

Before the Thanksgiving holiday, we contracted Potomac Tile & Carpet to install some carpet. We've used them before and have been very happy with their work. We had extended family coming in from out of state to stay with us, but we had plenty of time to get the carpet down before they arrived - or so we thought. We ordered the carpet and scheduled the install. When the carpet arrived, it was not the carpet we ordered and so we had to wait another week for the right carpet to show up from the factory. This was ok as we still had some time before the holiday. On the second order, the factory again
