The heavier the items, the smaller the boxes. 4. Use smaller boxes for books. 5. Always tape boxes using packing tape, do not use duct tape.

I needed help with the second or third phase of clearing out my mother's house which had sat unoccupied for many months. The house had stains, cobwebs, and a more than a few subtle but present unpleasant odors.
Justin and his colleague Tony showed up right on time and got to work. They carried dozens of heavy totes up from our downstairs and carefully packed dishware we were donating. They also took a detour to help us move my mom out of the assisted living facility before going back to work on the house. It was a full day of work but they kept it

Wonderful, speedy, efficient, careful! Really had a great experience with A Way Home helping to unload storage pods on August 1. So friendly, too -- such a wonderful change from experiences with other movers (not Madison based) with whom we had a really difficult time in this cross-country move. Worked quickly but didn't rush us, and really thoughtful about getting everything placed such that unpacking would be easier for us. Helped us put together furniture to fill out the remaining time for which we had the team booked. Will absolutely hire them again.

I've hired well known Madison moving companies before and had to ask them to get off their phones and back to work feeling they were just trying to drive up the cost. Best moving experience I've ever had. They responded quickly to my emails, their price beat any other local company, and they were flexible on date/ times they could come. They were on time, moved stuff so quickly, and went way beyond my expectations for how much would get moved in the two hour time frame. We hired 'A Way Home Moving' through Yelp for the Relocube moving help. Justin and his teammate were absolutely wonderful. They were fast, efficient, and highly organized. Seeing how they stack all items were almost mesmerizing. They ended up saving 2 cubic feet of trailer space than how I planned. Which was a big discount on my moving cost. I strongly recommend Justin and his crew! (Wish I could hire him again...)

Heather was super great to work and coordinate with to set up the moving appointment. The guys showed up right on time and got to work. They staged the items in the truck to make it easier to arrange in the new apartment. They took great care to handle everything so as not to damage the items, the house, or the new apartment. I had wrapped up all the furniture with moving blankets and pallet wrap prior to their arrival, but they did bring all the moving materials with them just in case. Justin and his team were awesome! Our move date moved up a month, and they were able to accommodate within the week. We had alot of stuff, including some very heavy items, and they handled it all great, and managed to keep things positive and light-hearted during the entire process, eliminating any feelings of stress - quite the feat with a very long 12 hour day to complete it all! Reasonably priced (way better than the national chains!), and even came in under budget! I would highly recommend A Way Home Moving!

Heather provided excellent, responsive customer service while scheduling, shared tips, answered questions and accommodated our needs. Great moving company. Very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Justin came out to our home and provided an estimate, the other movers we contacted just had us fill out an inventory form. The moving crew of 3 Vinny, Louis and Bailey were very hard workers with a great attitude and sense of humor.They worked for 12 hours loading and then unloading our belongings and were pleasant and professional throughout.They were very careful about padding and protecting the furniture. My husband and I got estimates from several moving companies before deciding to hire A Way Home Moving. Hiring them was absolutely the best decision we could have made! Justin was so nice and positive throughout the entire experience. We didn't close on our new house until late afternoon and A Way Home was happy to unload the truck then whereas other companies were going to charge us to store our stuff another night and unload the following morning. Wow! Awesome experience. We hired A Way Home Moving to help us reinstall and rearrange furnishings after a home renovation. Three men arrived, worked efficiently, and were extremely pleasant.
We have had some terrible experiences with other moving companies that gave an estimate based on items to be moved, stairs involved, square footage, etc. After suffering through a day of "I didn't realize this was going" or "that wasn't listed in the quote", the cost was always well above the estimate.
Not so with this company! They were willing to work for an hourly rate, which included all of the "gear

My parents brought a very heavy piano up from Georgia in a trailer. Other moving companies wanted to charge an arm and leg just to get it from my driveway into my house, but Justin and his team gave me a great deal. I rented an upright piano dolly from A to Z rentals (also a great experience), and together we got this ridiculously heavy piece of furniture into my house without any damage or hassle.
This was my second time working with Justin, and at this point I couldn't imagine working with any other movers in the future.

My dad has Alzheimer's and I needed help getting him moved to a memory care facility. After looking up my options and seeing the positive feedback A Way Home Moving has had on Yelp, I reached out to them. Justin's communication via email and phone were great.

Our move was the Saturday before Memorial Day and it had been shaping up to be a mess. Last day before lease was up, from a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator and narrow stairwells, two other locations to pick up from, two locations to drop off at, three cities and 3 future in-laws total. We just moved up to Madison a couple of weeks ago, and Justin & Phil were actually the first people we met here - our super friendly and professional movers. They helped us to unload our Uhaul in record time, handling even the biggest, heaviest items like they weighed nothing. Smiling all the while. You'd think that someone on Earth actually enjoys moving - these guys!
They did a great job, crazy fast, nothing even close to getting damaged. We'll be moving again in the fall, and hopefully will be able to secure their services before someone else books them up!
