I removed my one-star rating from November because Alex (owner/supervisor) went above and beyond to correct any problems I was experiencing. His company's reputation matters to him. He sent his top-notch crew and they installed dampers which evened the flow and made it much quieter.
The sound was loud and whooshing as well as 3 minutes of cool air blowing before the heat would come on. They corrected all. Yes, they wore masks and booties.

Our refrigerator was leaking, and we were preparing to leave town. Around the Clock sent a technician that same day. He came within the stated time period, diagnosed the problem immediately, and fixed it with dispatch. Great job -- I highly recommend Around the Clock! We've had issues with our heater intermittently working. I used to have American Home Shield and First American Warranty - do NOT get home warranty because it's not worth it. Multiple repair folks have come out and each time, they tell me there's nothing wrong. Finally today, the heater stopped working completely. Never turned back on and of course, weather in LA right. now is cold! Literally shivering in my home with the temperature showing 59 degrees (YES INSIDE), I called Around the Clock and they were able to schedule me right away and a technician arrived within the hour

Around the clock charged me $125 to come and check out our AC. Someone came in pretty rude, went up in the attic, stayed less thank 2min in there and quoted $6500 for repairs. Quote was literally 3 lines of text. $125 for no diagnostic, he didn't even go around the AC to check the problem, just stared at it and came up with $6500 to replace an evaporator coil. As a new home owner I am so tired of all those scammers at there that charge money to do absolutely nothing and then give you an insanely priced quote. I did tons of research, checked on AC professionals forums. The advice they gave

My tenant notified me that there was and burning odor Coming from the AC unit. Someone came out to check my AC just to tell me that they're not sure why there's a burning smell after running the AC for a few hours, but maybe I should change my motor or whole AC unit. He said he checked everything and couldn't find any issues, but he was guessing. He still charged me $95 for no proper diagnosis, They said I'd have to call someone else because they don't do those services. Such a waste, I definitely don't recommend this place. Expensive and don't stand behind their work. $125 service call is the highest out there----there are plenty other reputable HVAC companies charging only $85-95. They charged me $125, did some diagnostics, when my A/C still didn't work despite following their recommendations they wanted to charge another $125 to come out and re-do the diagnostics. CALL SOMEONE ELSE!!!!

The DWP website lists this company as servicing area code 90046, which is Hollywood, for the "optimization program." On calling them, they said they don't service 90046. My reaction:
1. Why would you hire a company that is so sloppy in this regard. I'm sure the DWP didn't "make up" that they are in the program for Hollywood. This company put that in the DWP website.
2. They say their address is North Hollywood. If that is true (there's so much scamming these days), how could Hollywood be "out of their area."

During this current heatwave in LA, my parents A/C unit up and died.
My mother called in the late morning on a Thursday after looking at the Yelp reviews. Someone immediately picked up and what first was notable was that they tried to troubleshoot over the phone because no one was (understandably) available for a same day service. They attempted to help off site but ultimately needed to send someone out within 24 hours of that call. Wow!
Quoted a time between 9-12, Leon arrived at approximately 10am. He needed to check out the filter which is in the basement/crawl space underneath a closet

Short version: World Class service and respect for customers.
Longer version: Listen... any time your AC stops working, it is a crappy situation. ESPECIALLY in the San Fernando Valley. Mine died in a heatwave and ended up needing several parts replaced. ATC in general and Igor specifically were quick, kind, professional, and no nonsense. They didn't sugarcoat anything, but managed to keep costs affordable considering the issue and parts. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Igor came to look at my a/c. He discovered that it was most likely a warranty issue, so he told me to call the manufacturer and have the work done through a warranty claim to save me money. He didn't even charge me for the visit. Thanks so much! Will definitely use them in the future for non-warranty related issues!

ATC is who we use for our summer/winter HVAC service. About a week ago, I turned the A/C on for the first time this year and my Nest thermostat gave me a lovely error message to inform me that there was something off with the HVAC connection. I YouTubed some stuff first, but my HVAC unit is on the roof and I didn't feel very confident in my ability to go up there and start messing around with it. So, I called ATC.
They were able to have someone come out that same day (which is great, because I couldn't get

This business is phenomenal. From the first phone call the entire staff was very helpful and answered all of my questions. they were able to come that day and despite me not being able to meet them they were so considerate and waited and then came back the nest day. They did a great job fixing the heater and didn't even try to sell me on anything or charge extra. They called me with updated and the invoice was immediately sent to me. Of course it was 115 in Burbank when our 15 year old HVAC compressor shut down. We called Around the clock from a google search. They came right out and rebuilt the compressor with new energy efficient components. When the tech turned it on it was so quiet I wasn't sure it was even spinning. The cost was reasonable and our electric bill went down $200 and the house was very cool.

When my AC petered out late in the evening during a record heatwave over a holiday evening, I seriously thought I was screwed. But this company was so fantastic! A technician was here within a couple hours of my call, on Labor Day, even earlier than the appointment. He got everything fixed up, and now I'm laying under the AC register soaking in the cool air.

My ac broke on a day that was 96 degrees outside. Almost that hot in the house. I called around the clock and they sent a technician within an hour. As an older person, I was delighted that he wore a mask! He replaced the broken compressor and was done in 15 minutes. Excellent service and kind people. Call them first !

Igor was punctual and very respectful of Covid-19 safety wearing mask and gloves. After diagnosing our issue he took the time to explain it in detail so we understood exactly what was happening and answered all of our questions. He suggested the most sensible and cost effective way to go so that we didn't spend more than we needed to, and he worked quickly and efficiently. Good experience; would use them again.

Each person I dealt with was amazing! I especially liked that my salesperson provided a detailed easy to read estimate and was available for additional questions before I purchased the product, and afterward as well. The installers were prompt, courteous, and cleaned up so nicely after the installation. I really appreciated the extra effort they made after a long hot day! Thank you!
