Went through a reasonable amount of effort to fill out forms, take pictures, and communicate our needs for a wood insert to only be told that they decline the job. When asked what was the difficulty that would prevent them from being able to accept the job of our home, there was no response after a considerable effort in sharing our needs. I do not doubt they would likely do good work, however, they could use some help in terms of customer service.

We had a great experience at Nordic Stove with both Martha and Scott on different occasions. We recently bought our first home with a fireplace, and have no idea what we’re doing. Martha and Scott are the most honest, patient, and knowledgeable shop owners - they told us to buy less things than we planned. They took the time to answer all of our questions, even when they were super busy on the weekend. Support this classic family-owned business, you’ll end up learning more than you can online and likely buying less than you need.

Scott and Martha at Nordic are very knowledgable and offer sound advice to their customers. We had a somewhat complex situation, but they were undeterred; they did some research and provided a great solution to the problem. We could not be happier with the end result: one gas fp upgrade and one wood-burning fp converted to gas. The Nordic installers were very professional as well.
Nordic also recommended a very high quality firewood, so our wood-burning fires now last longer than they did with lesser quality firewood.

Maybe I just hit them on the wrong day, but I purchased a beautiful Town and Country gas fireplace from Nordic 3 years ago, and they couldn't be bothered to call me back to clean/service my fireplace. I called in December, 2018 and they asked me to "email the owner," which I did. I got a call back telling me that I should clean the fireplace myself and look on line for directions on how to clean my unit!!! I spent a ton of money on this fireplace and they have a serious "attitude." Unfortunately they are the only shop in the area.

Five stars for Nordic Stove and Martha! The selection is very good. Martha was very helpful explaining all the things I will need to convert from wood burning to gas that I wouldn't have thought of and I'm not sure salespeople at other shops would take the time to go over. I haven't purchased yet because I need to check out the natural gas access to my fireplace.
