Manhattan trees as 'Green Infrastructure', for example, in a densely-built, paved environment, improve air quality, cool NYC's 'air', and reduce water pollution for the whole region. In addition, street canopies not only enhance streets themselves, but experiences on sidewalks, and life in nearby buildings.

All city trees -- in parks, on the street or yards of commercial and residential properties-- contribute to these important environmental values and objectives. Construction Work Permits For architects, engineers, and contractors, through Reports and Inspections, we help get Permits so intended work minimizes impacts to existing NYC trees.Gallery highlights the most recurrent types of city construction projects that involve (potentially impact) street canopies.
Services
MVR began professional LA practice working on large site design projects at the office of Divney Tung Schwalbe. The emphasis on roadways, stormwater, and utilities of AE employment enabled him to become a NYS Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) two years later in 1999. Starting in 2000 for Diversified Technology Consultants, he supported architects and engineers on large new building sites, mostly schools.

NY COURTYARD REDESIGN
I know MVR's High Line Arborist work mainly from the surroundings of St. Peter's Church, Chelsea, which houses my Chelsea Community Church congregation. In 2015 he so transformed the inner courtyard garden and entryway plantings that the experience of going there was definitely enhanced spiritually. It's a beautiful church now more beautiful, to enter and then proceed from, into the little gem of a garden space, cleared of its clutter to highlight features I'd never noticed before in many years of attending. Now you know you're in a spot where worshippers have been for more

Michael Victor Ruggiero, is a highly trained and creative landscape architect who knows trees and plants better than anyone!
His knowledge of indigenous and sustainable plant materials, and keen eye for composition, transformed my property beyond my wildest dreams!
As I live outside the city, Michael suggested I go into town to see some of his projects; I was excited to see that the skills he exhibited on my project were fully realized, resulting in a gorgeous urban setting.
So, for an organized natural look, as on the High Line, or a stunning ordered arrangement, I highly recommend Michael

The High Line Arborist has pruned the trees in my Chelsea, NY back yard and the privets out front to very pleasing effect. He has also reconfigured landscape elements in my garden with new plantings, a new sitting area and an enlarged fish pond. He works efficiently and effectively. I am very pleased with the work he has done for me as well as the work he does around the neighborhood on bike lane tree pits and in the garden at St. Peter's church.
