Johnson solar did a solar upgrade on my system and not only did a fantastic job, they added high quality high wattage panels and I cannot recommend Clinton or his company enough. They fit me into their busy schedule at the end of the year, and did a top notch job, so far I couldn’t be any happier. I feel that there are some shady companies doing solar, Clinton and Johnson solar are definitely an exception, they are excellent. Johnson Solar beat all competitors by $4000. Not to mention, they installed my panels in 1 day and it only took 3 days until my service was turned on by SDG&E. I recommended them to all my neighbors and 2 of them also got their solar installed with the same fast installation and activated service by SDG&E. Two of my neighbors went with other companies and it took 6 weeks for their systems to get activated. So, I highly recommend them to everyone I talk too, because their service is top notch, which shouldn't shock me, because Mr. Johnson is a Navy Veteran.

It was a pleasure working with Johnson solar crew. The crew was able to schedule the installation a week before agreed date and I had my solar up and running in less than 5 days (including weekend). They are well informed and knowledgeable to perform the installation. Our house's roof has some issues with tree shade in the front and they were able to quickly figure out the best possible solution. I would highly recommend them!

Very satisfied with their work. New panels on west facing roof are producing over twice the power of my 10 south facing panels during the peak 4-9pm time period.

Clinton was the first solar company we contacted but he recommended we get a few more quotes before we made our decision. After meeting with a few other companies it was clear that Clinton beat the competition in price and in completion of the project, we were up and running in 3 weeks, compared to the other companies that said it would be more like 3-6 months. Turns out he had installed solar for a couple of our neighbors and when I asked them for a review they had nothing but glowing remarks for Clinton. We recently contracted with Johnson Solar after doing quite a bit of research. Johnson Solar was lower in price, with a great recommended line of products, and committed to a rapid installation timeline. Within 3 weeks, our solar system was installed and running. Shopping for solar can be confusing for any property owner. You have options to own, lease, finance. Then you have different products (micro-inverters, string inverters, blah blah). It can be daunting, and if you're like me, you overly research, and find the best match in equipment, quality and dependability. If you're like MOST, you just want to find a company you trust that will not pitch you something you do NOT need.

Clinton installed my system in October 2019 and the system is running smoothly as of April 2020. Clinton works like mad to bang out these jobs as quickly as possible. You will very likely talk to him on a Friday and be up and running by the following Friday.
He's one of the only providers who lists a flat rate up front on his website. No coupons or special discounts or "referral bonuses". I concur with all the previous reviews for Johnson Solar. We were very impressed with Clinton Johnson and his work. He met with us within a day and explained everything clearly. His cost was below what other larger companies were charging and they did not have as good reviews. Clinton was able to come within a couple of days and we had the permits completed and the system was running within a week. Clinton and his assistant came and did the work themselves and completed it within a day. We were amazed. He replies back when you have questions and uses quality equipment. Johnson Solar is hands down the best company out there! I can't begin to explain but, they deserve the best we can give back. It's really old school service and hard working employees. We called with a few questions and the next day Clinton was out first thing in the morning to give us a price and explain all the details. Within 24 hours our panels were in place running backwards in rabbit mode. That's why I say old school service, that's the working ethics of yesteryear.

Clinton helped me out with a 5k solar system. I really appreciated how quickly he was able to get plans approved , panels ordered and installed.
Total turnaround was 15 days from contact to getting permission from SDG&E to operate. That's insanely fast.
