180 Degrees Design + Build is an architect-led design-build firm that specializes in high end custom residential design and remodels, technically challenging commercial design and construction, historic preservation, and adaptive re-use. Since 2001 we've engaged with a wide variety of clients and technical challenges, resulting in award-winning work that defies the categorical constraints of a single aesthetic.
As a design-build firm, 180 Degrees is able to offer a variety of services for our clients. Below you can find a full list of our services and details as we define them. 180 Degrees has extensive experience in meeting budgets while maintaining design intent. As architects, we are constantly seeking alternative means and methods to reduce costs while maintaining the highest architectural quality.
The true value of 180 Degrees is seen through our self-performing work in concrete and metal fabrication. Our home and workspace in the Melrose district of Phoenix also has its own wood and steel fabrication shop and team that we call The Guild. We're a collective of artists, craftsmen, makers, and fabricators dedicated to creating beautiful and unique home goods in wood, steel, glass and concrete.
Released in 2019, Making Architecture is a retrospective look at the work of 180 Degrees Design + Build in Arizona and beyond. The full color 226-page monograph features over 300 photographs of the firm's body of work and describes their signature design-build process and philosophies in vivid, accessible detail.
