We had river city patio install a awning on the side of our house! I called and made appointment with Don. He came out at the agreed upon time and give me a great price. I had 3 other co. Give me bids and Don was the cheeper of them all. We did the paper work and got on the books, once again Don showed up when he said he would and did a great job on our patio! I would highly recommend this co to anyone and have already told my friends.

The search for what to use for an awning can be frustrating and tedious. I wanted something durable, low maintenance and nice looking. I hired New Dawn Awning and they solely use Duralum products. From the pictures I saw I decided to go with it. I was not disappointed! It is stunning! The materials are strong and beautiful!

DO NOT WORK WITH DON! Don caused significant damage to our home in addition to poor quality workmanship. The last time Don was at our home he got mad, yelled at my wife for pointing out damages. He walked off and told her to file a complaint with CSLB and that's what we did.
EVERY.SINGLE.ASPECT of installation was not done correctly and caused damage.
Please do yourself a favor and go with a more reputable & qualified company. In the end you may have to spend a little more out of pocket, but it will be worth it. We are 6.5 months in trying to get resolution, it has not been pleasant

DO NOT USE! Caused damage to our home in addition to poor quality workmanship. Drilled hole through roof & tile, cut through drip edge, external & off center electrical all done without my consent and not previously discussed. But wait there's more....split 4 out of 5 rafters where roof brackets were placed. Patio cover was NOT centered on concrete pad as discussed. Basically every aspect of installation was not done correctly or caused damage.

While this company has cheap price for patio install, they are a very low quality install company that take short cuts in install for a quick buck. If you need anything followed after they've gotten your money, they don't respond.
After year or so of Don installing patio at my house, I noticed that one of the side rafter had come loose and screw had fallen out. I went up using ladder to see why the rafter had come loose and it shows that cross beam is too long screw is not long enough to tighten the rafter. It looks like instead of cutting the cross beam to right length they just forced

Beware of this company. I was charged for two steel beams that were NEVER installed! When the city inspector came to do the final on the cover, it was he who informed me that the steels beams were not installed and, in fact, were not needed according to code. Called Don, he never returned my call. Spoke with his wife and got the run around. I requested a refund of the $900. that I was charged for the beams and it never went anywhere! Short of legal action, I will never see that money again.

This company is TOP Notch! They build the BEST covers with care for my property. It is as if they were working on their own home! They are very fairly priced and only use the BEST material and sealers!
This is the 2nd patio they built for me and I continue to be impressed!!! They actually arrived early and did a GREAT job. There was no mess to deal with. The only thing they left behind was a great looking patio!!!!

Don is the man for your patio cover . He came out twice to give me quotes for different sizes that I asked and did not pressure me at all. I love the help I got from him. He is very professional and on time. The price was reasonable and his work is beyond excellent I would definitely recommend him to family and friends. ONLY because I HAVE TO give at least 1 star.....DON IS NOT A HONEST PERSON AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY ETHICS! He said he would give referral bonuses. So I had provided him 3 referrals which he technically only gave me 1 referral bonus. He paid me for my 1st bonus referral. My 2nd referral, he "deducted the promised $50 bonus" from the grand total since my referral were my in-laws, and told my in-laws to give me $50.....seriously, how unprofessional is that! The 3rd referral, it's been nearly 2 years and he REFUSES to send me my referral bonus. (Trust me, I gave up after about 6 months

Don sold us and installed a 15 x 25 patio cover with a fan and two electrical outlets at a great deal (and we received multiple quotes). He was very communicative throughout the process and on install day he was in and out in about 6 hours. We're very happy with the work and looking forward to enjoying time outside this summer.

Ok, Sooo --- WOW, that's what I can say. Don came out to look at my back patio area as I tried to explain to him what I was kind of envisioning to provide some relief from the heat and Sun in the summertime and yet a nice clean looking patio that we can enjoy not only in summer but in winter. I also did not want a monstrosity that looked bulky or huge and detracted from the nice backyard also getting re done.

Recently had a cover installed with fan and electrical outlets. He missed installation by 12 days, left a mess inside my home where electrical connection was, left metal shavings all over the ground by my pool where the family and pets walk with no shoes, overcut the stucco where it connects leaving a horrible unpainted patch line, and lastly didn't complete the job to 100% completion as requested or as we spoke about the day of the install. I was out of town on install day because he was late so I could only speak with him by phone. Quality of material is good and I'm happy with overall
