Prior to contacting West Coast Awnings, I've reached out to 2 other companies to get a quote. Although the other 2 have given me a slightly lower price, I'm glad I went with this company. Inna is very responsive and walked me through the process (including getting approval from HOA), expectations, and timeline. They are always on schedule, from getting the plans completed, dropping the materials ahead of schedule, and scheduling the installation. I have been wanting a patio cover for years. My patio faces full west and the family room gets unbearably hot in the summer. I finally made up my mind to get a patio cover this year and, after contacting over a half dozen contractors , I met up with Dan to go over his quote, which was really reasonable. West Coast Awnings has the most and positive views and their price is the cheapest. Made a schedule for Dan to swing by to do some measurements and finalize the what style I want and actual quote. Awning went up fast and is fine. They even did a great job matching paint color where an existing down spout had to be moved. Would NOT recommend for electrical work (awning fan/outlet etc). Day after west coast awnings left, an existing dimmer switch blew (same switch box, different circuit). Dug into it and found during install they drilled/cut into two existing wires, taped all the broken wires together, and put it back. Accidents happen, but to not say anything, and think you could tape two separate broken wires together, is unacceptable and dangerous.

Top notch work from beginning to end and I couldn't be happier with my new patio cover. Everyone I worked with at West Coast Awnings was great from my initial contact at the beginning to the info about my permit inspection after the work was done. We just want to say thank you to the owners Dan and Inna, and the whole team for such an amazing job on our patio cover! We are so happy. This was the piece that completed our backyard. I just recently had a solid aluminum patio cover installed in my backyard by West Coast Awnings and they did a great job. I did get one other quote initially and the prices were comparable but I like how flexible Dan was and he was able to build it just the way I wanted it. They were backed up a bit so it took a couple months for them to come out which was fine with my schedule. In fact, the office notified me saying there was an earlier date available so I ended up getting it done before the July 4th Holiday which was nice. Amazing!! Everyone from the people in their office to the guys who came out to build the awning was professional and courteous. They stuck to the quoted price (which was so reasonable!) and were very transparent about all costs and fees. They got me on the schedule quickly, handled all permits, showed up on time, and did a great job. They even helped us when the county inspector proved to be a bit difficult to deal with. We had probably 5 quotes and each time we didn’t feel like they knew, or we knew what we we’re talking about. Bottom line we felt uncomfortable pulling the trigger with these other companies. I looked up local patio installers and found New Dawn and Vern. Vern came by and listened to what we envisioned. 30 minutes later and no extra lame sales pitch he gave us a quote that was perfect. We could tell this guy and this company was legit. We asked for the Taj Mahal of patio covers. We’re talking 6 lights, only 2 post on a huge patio, insulated cover, couple plugs, trim kit, fans, the works.

We have been debating whether or not to get one of these for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger. At the moment there's a backlog of work for these guys so it was couple of months out for the installation, but well worth the wait and we were lucky enough to get it done before the rain season hit.
Dan came out for the initial consultation, was clear about all of our options from colors down to style and all the different pricing scenarios. He was also objective about it and didn't try to over-sell anything to us, just letting us decide what was best and providing options.

We live in EDH and interviewed several local companies for our patio cover. West Coast Awnings was the most professional and prepared. Dan had sample materials and was able to answer all of our questions. They also offered the ability to have built in speakers which are completely hidden (turned out awesome!). They kept us informed and took care of the permits. They crew showed up on time and finished ahead of schedule. We are extremely pleased with the outcome!

A truly wonderful experience from the beginning. The response timing to my Yelp quote request was amazing (and far more courteous than other companies). Dan was able to provide a ROUGH estimate based on information provided, sight unseen. We then had him come out and he explained exactly what would be done while answering any questions we had.
