Terrible experience with Oriental Carpets. Ruined my Persian rug with their cleaning services. While they took the rug back to try to fix it and agreed that it was damaged they are still charging. They have also threatened to send me to collections or sue me in small claims court. Never once did they pick up the phone to discuss the matter with me. Would advise you go elsewhere for better quality service and experience. Shame on you.

You will find traditional, modern, Turkish, Chinese, Persian, Indian ... whatever your taste, they will have the perfect carpet for you. And they make sure the carpets are not made using child slave labor.
They will also clean and mend your carpets. I recently took a runner to the store for repair because our cats had destroyed the fringe on both ends. I picked up the carpet and it's like new!

I bought my first two 'major investment' rugs at The Oriental Carpet 20 years ago, and to this day, I still love them as if it was the first time seeing them. I recently stopped in to say hi, and now they have the next generation of family owners, who are just as great as I remembered years ago.

If you need a rug THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO GO. Service is second to none. First I went to the store on Santa Cruz Ave (just walked in, no appointment). Salespeople were incredibly patient and helpful -- the primary person I worked with was Jeremy who owns the store. We flipped through at least 50 rugs or so and Jermey quickly developed a sense of my taste/what I was looking for. Then he offered, for free, to come to my house and bring various rugs to try in the space. He and his crew came to my home a few days later with a large assortment of beautiful rugs to try and we found just the right one

Our experience with The Oriental Carpet could not have been better. From our first phone inquiry until the delivery of our seven rugs their response has been quick and their service superb. Our rugs had gone many years without being cleaned and all of them came back looking brand new. I know that's a cliche, but it's the only way to describe it. And it applies as well to the repair of an oriental rug which had been in bad shape. We have had other companies clean our rugs in the past, but The Oriental Carpet outshines them all.

My daughter received the cleaned carpet on 8/27/2020 at her home and it smelled so much of mildew that it permeated her entire home. When she called Oriental Carpet to question the odor they told her to put out a bowl of vinegar that they said would solve the problem. She had to insist that they pick the carpet up to rectify the situation.
The sales associate just kept giving my daughter

I am presently giving two stars because they have my carpet and I hope to improve upon this review but right now I am left feeling displeased and frustrated by a sales associate who just wanted to give me excuses for why a carpet that The Oriental Carpet company recently cleaned smelled like mildew. He even tried to deny that the carpet was the same one that he dropped off on 8/27/2020 until I showed him the the tag that was still on the back of the carpet. After the great service we received bringing in a vey damaged Persian rug for repair, we came back this week to purchase a few more. The selection they have in store is astounding! So many beautiful ones to choose from. We ended up with a Nain for our dining area, an Isfahan for the entry way and a long hallway runner. Jeremy and Sasha were amazing! They were so patient and helpful. We really wanted a Nain for our dining room, but were having difficulty finding one we liked in the right size. Jeremy and his crew went above and beyond to help my husband and me select the *perfect* rugs for our living & dining rooms. After ordering furniture and rugs from a chain store with the help of a designer, I loved everything but the rugs- which looked totally different in the home compared to online. We recently had two rugs repaired here that had been damaged by our house cleaners. Workmanship was excellent, everything was done quickly, and the rugs look great! Sasha and Robinson could not have been nicer people and provide incredible customer service. I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in the market for new rugs... or if I ever need more repairs, but hopefully my rugs don't get damaged again :)

One of my rooms was desperately in need of a rug to "pull it together," but since the room colors were somewhat unusual, I was not looking forward to trying to find a rug to match. I also didn't want to deal with the difficult negotiations and heavy pressure sales tactics that are unfortunately common in the rug industry.
At the Oriental Carpet, I was pleasantly surprised at each step of the sales process

This is the finest Persian and oriental rug store in the area. Sasha and Bruce are highly professional and have an AMAZING selection, including fine Isfahan rugs that have become difficult to find at a reasonable price. There is no heavy sales pressure here. I've purchased several rugs and have been extremely pleased.

We were on the hunt for a 8x10 rug for our dining room and a 12x15 rug for our living room. With rugs these sizes the prices can definitely get pretty steep so it was really important for us to feel comfortable spending that sort of $$$--which meant we couldn't feel like we were being taken advantage of or lied to in any way.
