Maurice A. Forde founded Forde Windows & Remodeling in 1987 after working as a carpenter and subcontractor for years and deciding to start his own company. Maurice manages the entire Forde team, and is involved in every project. He is also a National Certified Remodeler (CR) and a National Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler (CKBR).
Maurice Forde founded Forde Windows and Remodeling, Inc. in 1987. Since then, the company has been recognized for its excellent contractor work, while Maurice has been elected to numerous leadership positions in the industry. Here's a brief timeline of what Maurice has accomplished since he started FW&R.
Counterspace is critical. Much of your prep work will be done on the counters. Ideally, you will have at least 36 inches of space to the right and 30 inches to the left of the range and sink if possible. Separate your tall refrigerator and built-in wall oven. It is tempting to put these together, especially since items can go straight from the fridge into the oven.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 250,000 children have unhealthy levels of lead in their blood. This is due to lead exposure found in paint in homes built before 1978. If you are remodeling a home with lead paint, you should hire an EPA Lead-Safe Certified firm.

Maurice is great to work with. He comes out to do the estimate and gives you good feedback and guidance on how to best move forward with the project. His pricing is highly competitive. If you are in the process of receiving several quotes for your windows just stop and go with Forde Windows and Remodeling. The quote only took a few minutes and it was more than competitive, actually the cheapest I received. Price was not the deciding factor for me even though it played a role. I was confident Maurice would provide great customer service and I was right. Maurice and team replaced all 6 windows in my home in a single day and the cleanup was perfect. The next morning I noticed one of the screens had a hole and called Maurice . He had a guy at my house replacing it within 2 hours

Forde replaced my original windows 20 years ago. They have performed extremely well. He also removed two windows in my kitchen and in their place installed a six foot sliding door, enlarging the opening. He also removed two windows over the kitchen sink and installed a 45° bay window with custom copper roof. The new trim, both inside and out was surgically and precisely installed without us having to redecorate the outside or inside. Amazing workmanship.

My wife and I cannot adequately express our appreciation for the quality of the work that was completed at our home. We replaced the original windows in our 70 year old Georgian with Marvin Ultimate windows. The workmen maintained a clean work site leaving the home broom clean at the end of each day. Finished carpentry and painting was precise and flawless. This was not an easy job and they tackled it expertly!
