We hired Bak Brothers to do a complete roof tear-off, full gutter replacement, and chimney repair, which, with our quirky 130-year-old house and its combination of flat and gabled roofs, was a complicated job. Artur and Przemek were knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and easy to communicate with, and their team did quality work, quickly and efficiently. We highly recommend Bak Brothers and would definitely use them again.

Bak Brothers is terrific. We have a large log cabin home that needed the whole home's fascia to be capped in aluminum. They perfectly matched color, trim and caulk to the home. They completed the job ahead of estimate. Workers were prompt, completed the entire job in a single day, cleaned the entire site and were gone before we were even able to tip! The workmanship was fantastic and exactly what we wanted. Norbert's estimate was accurate, fairly priced and without any issues. Highly recommend.

We were very pleased with the work done by Bak. They re-sided our entire house and garage, installed gutters and built a portico over our back steps. We like the work that was done and have received many compliments from neighbors. Bak provided a very detailed proposal and were always willing to discuss changes we were interested in making. Bak Brothers did great work on our house. We replaced the siding and trim on the front and the front door. Once the work began, they finished promptly. When the address numbers were reinstalled crooked, they replaced the piece of siding and reinstalled the address. When door trim started bowing away from the frame several months later, they came to try to fix it and when that didn't solve the issue, they replaced it. All this for a fair price that beat competitors, one of whom we had previously used for new windows. Very nice to see them follow through to ensure a proper final product.

The best! Artur is one of the nicest people, let alone contractors, I’ve ever met. He came in and gave us great advice for what we should consider for our bathroom remodel and has a wealth of technical knowledge both with respect to design and construction. We hired Bak Brothers to replace our roof, gutters, fascia, add leaf guards, and also do some masonry work. We were extremely please with their initial responsiveness, price, and the detail in their estimate. The work started just before the Covid stay at home order, and we loved the roof but the setting of the gutters was not great. The leaf… guards were also a little visible and a lighter color than we expected. We recently used Bak brothers to redo our roof, chimney and gutters. We chose them due to their exceptional attention to detail for our repair work. They provided us with a very detailed estimate which included all the work which needed done, cost and options. They had clear communication from day one and always were excellent to deal with. Saw the positive reviews and reached out to them. They kept giving us excuses and delaying the initial proposal. Took two weeks after they first promised a date for the proposal to be ready. After recommending that our attic needs more ventilation to prevent ice damming, they told us they could not do that work anymore and then gave us a proposal for the roof replacement that was higher than 3 other reputable roofers. Not competitive and not responsive. Not a good experience at all.

Bak Brothers is outstanding! Artur answered all our questions, worked with us on pricing, and managed to schedule our roof replacement within a few weeks and complete it ahead of schedule. The work was high-caliber and the new roof looks fantastic! All this and a warranty we can transfer if we sell. They're family-owned, with a tradition of quality, yet they also offer a wide range of roof/window services across the Chicago area. I cannot recommend Bak Brothers enough!!!

After reading such positive reviews on Yelp, I reached out to Bak Brothers to get an estimate to replace two windows and fix our balcony. Over a month after our initial phone and text communication, I am still waiting for Ben to come out and provide an estimate. He's committed to coming out twice and then done MIA. A complete waste of my time.
Pretty frustrating as we have quite a bit of remodeling to do and was hoping to find a great partner to work with going forward.

We purchased our home 4 years ago in Glenview and gutted the inside to bring the 1970's home into the new century. Artur and Karl are extremely knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations throughout the entire process, whether it be design or overall lay out. Also, they could not have been more reassuring that things were going to be done correctly and in a timely fashion.
We had an entire kitchen remodel. Example: load bearing wall removed, laundry room attached to the kitchen was created, new cabinets, island, you name it. Done unbelievably well. (They also cleaned up every night too, limited dust and hazards).

I needed to replace my double front doors and two side windows. I can't say enough good things about the whole team at BAK Brothers. Re-siding an entire house James Hardie is an expensive project in and of itself. After you add on replacing all the windows, doors, and rebuilding the back deck, and you are looking at a massive undertaking. To complicate things, we had some open areas around the foundation of the addition on the back of our house that needed to be properly sealed up. We contacted a number of siding and windows vendors but only Artur Bak consistently returned our calls and replied to emails quickly, answered questions, provided alternatives

We were more than satisfied with our experience with Bak Brothers. Artur was extremely professional and not at all pushy, which we very much appreciated. The quality of the workmanship was impeccable. The 2 men that did the siding installation, Simon and Mark, worked extremely hard and were also very nice personally. Any feedback I gave them they were very receptive to. The cleaned up after themselves everyday they worked. I called to make an appointment for an estimate for a siding job and Artur came out a week later. He gave me his business card and said he would email me an estimate the next day. A week later I didn't receive it and called him directly and left a message and did not hear back. I tried the contact us info from their website and left a message as well and never heard back from anyone. It's been 3 weeks and never heard back. Would recommend to anyone! Artur was straightforward and fair with the initial estimate. He was extremely thorough in explaining exactly what they would be doing and which steps were an upgrade and could be scaled down to meet a budget. We easily reached an agreement and felt confident from the beginning it was going to be a good experience. We couldn't have been more thrilled with the finished product.
