Established in 2002. Our company specializes in remodeling, restoration and repairs of older properties. My background in historic preservation, commercial architecture, construction oversight, home design and home building allows me to offer a complete construction services package from the planning phase to move in.
We are registered with the Texas Residential Construction Commission as a Licensed Remodeler. Guy W. Chipman, III has a degree in Architecture from the University of Texas in Arlington and is Associate AIA. Guy Chipman Construction, L.P.'s workers are trained in the proper procedures for working on older homes and buildings that may contain lead-based paints and coatings.
We offer a large selection of historic Long Leaf pine timbers, siding, trim and flooring. If you need clear heart pine timbers to be used for historic preservation projects, call Woody directly at (210) 771-1032. If we don't have it in stock, we can get it fast. If you need Architectural Millwork made of Long Leaf Pine or other hard woods, we can make it to your specifications.

Woody and his professional team did a phenomenal job on our historic home. I hired them for a window install and the craftsmanship was amazing. I honestly feel joy whenever I look at them! Not only that, my deadline for install was fast approaching and Woody did me a huge favor by making it happen.

We rarely give reviews or recommendations but based on the quality of service Wood and his team provided we sincerely thought it was the right thing to do! We purchased a home built in 1912 in McAllen, Texas and began renovations. There are not many homes of this age left in this area and finding material to restore this home is near to impossible. I was in need of quite a bit of long leaf pine flooring, so I took to the internet and found Mr. Wood Chipman. He didn't have the quantity I was looking for, but located it for me. He was extremely accommodating and kept in contact during the whole process. Wish he was located down here!!

Woody was extremely helpful and knowledgable through the whole process. Our house had a flood with other resulting issues and he promptly pushed the insurance claim through. When the insurance dragged their feet or lacked coordination, he stepped in. He went above and beyond to save our house. My spouse and I are beyond grateful.

2 years ago , Woody's team transformed the upper garden of the Japanese Tea Garden from Pea Gravel ground cover to a wonderful flagstone patio that has worn well.
The work was started and completed in a timely manner and his crew was very courteous and considerate of other ongoing activities in the garden . Woody's knowledge of historic preservation issues was an invaluable asset.

We have used Guy Chipman Company for exterior repairs and a major kitchen remodel in our 1930’s home. The kitchen had a small footprint and required several innovative approaches to maximize space efficiency.
