We will remove ruined insulation, debris; rodent waste, and water damaged insulation. Attics are common hiding places for all sorts of insects and rodents; especially during the colder months.
Attic Proof Inc.'s team of professionals specializes in attic insulation removal and installation. Insulation removal is crucial and more detailed than one could imagine. Because bacteria and infectious viruses become airborne due to rodent infestation and mold and mildew, safety precautions must be taken from start to finish.
Now that your attic and is cleaned, decontaminated, and sealed, it is time for insulation replacement. Not cheap, but they do one of the nastiest jobs in the world. And they do it great. Storytime: An awful smell on our living was taking over. We thought it was mold. Mold inspector came, said it was part of the problem. Something else was going on under the floor. Dead rats. Rats feces. Called many pest control agencies, but they don't remove dead animals . Called attic proof late on Monday , and Mateo came on a tuesday morning , inspected the place, took pictures, explained the situation. Mateo personally led the team of workers who cleared the attic of old insulation infested with the droppings of a family of rats and performed the proofing of all possible entry points to the attic. I liked his idea of waiting a few days to be sure that the rats would not return before laying new insulation. The work was inspected by the city inspector who signed off on the job well done.

This place is the worst! They came by on Thursday to remove my insulation and just left all of it in 4 huge bags on the sidewalk, it's Saturday! I called and Maria the secretary argued with me that it's the weekend and no one works so they can't be by until Monday. Then I spoke with Leo and he said someone will be by on Sunday to pick it up. Everyone has had to walk in the street to go around the debris for two days now.

Attic Proof made it better. The lead tech was out last week and performed a thorough inspection of the attic (well I am sure they did not look under all the blown in insulation) but he did take the time to inspect what he could. Gus also inspected the crawl space under my home - and provided photos via his cell phone that indicated he did a thorough inspection. I don't have any decaying animals and it appears that the odor may be from moisture build up in the crawl space. Mateo and his crew were great. One of our two attic spaces were in excellent condition so he proposed to only add on insulation to get it to R38 and saved us money. The other attic space had a lot of rodent droppings and quite a few dead rodents. They cleaned everything out and put in new R38 insulation after closing all entry points. Mateo is great because he also has a contractor license so he understand roof structures. He fixed a solar tube opening that was not done correctly where rodents may have gotten in.

Wanting to make my home more comfortable in the hot Brentwood summers while keeping the PG&E bill down we decided to install an attic fan, radiant barrier and more insulation.
Contacted Attic Proof, a licensed contractor for an estimate. Mateo arrived later that day and we negotiated a fair price and scheduled the work to start in a few days. An experienced crew arrived on time and completed the work in two days.
I am a retired construction inspector and periodically inspected their work. The work met all codes and my expectations

I have a 80 year old Berkeley bungalow fixer upper that I've been slowly remodeling. I recently discovered rats in the attic and under the house from the winter freeze last January. Yikes!!! Mateo and his Team are awesome!
Our house had 30 years of animal waste, bones, nests, and 2 different kinds of insulation in the attic. The pervious owners left a big mess to deal with when we moved in. It was a horrible, smelly, discusting job. Mateo and his team did a wonderful clean-up job and re-insulated the attic. The price was fair and the men worked hard all day. I recieved many other quotes. What Mateo accomplished in 1 day, I was told it would take 2 or 3 days by other companies. They also rodent proofed the crawl space.

Attic Proof is awesome! I have a rental property in Oakland that had a rat infestation. Lisa, the amazing telephone representative of Attic Proof, was so sweet and helpful. She gave me a very reasonable estimate on the phone so I did not have to disturb my tenants with an inspection and worked with my tenants to schedule an appointment that worked for them.
