We purchased a gas insert from Southtowns Fireplace. Bill turned extremely ignorant and argumentative when a problem arose, apparently I’m the only person on the lake that experiences high winds. Bill refused to answer his phone once he realized there was a problem, so stopping at his shop was my only alternative. No, I do not recommend this business at all. I wish I would have waited for the competition, but they were booked up over 3 months. (At Highland Hearth.)They were helpful and remained courteous throughout our problem. Bill (the owner) is extremely knowledgeable on all makes and models of fireplaces. We called about five other stores in the area for service but they told us "we don't service that model." Bill sent his serviceman to our home and our issues were fixed in less than 30 minutes. Our fireplace is working like new again! 5 Stars!

Bill and his team were awesome. Bill took the time to sit with my wife and I (and two young kids) to help us determine which fireplace insert was right for our home and budget. Installation was fast and efficient. If you need fireplace repairs or a new unit, give these guys a call. Highly recommend!

I’ve had a fireplace for years from South town’s fireplace. It’s been great. This year, after twenty years, it wouldn’t light for me. I called South town’s fireplace and they sent Mark out. He was very professional and knew his business. He fixed it and made it look like new. I highly recommend them.
