Home Works Construction is a family owned and operated business, serving Northern California since 1998. We started our operations in Redwood City, California, remodeling bathrooms and kitchens, and soon after expanded into a full scale residential remodeling company. To date, we have remodeled hundreds of kitchens and bathrooms, and installed or replaced countless number of windows and doors.
I was so happy to have Chris and his crew work on my kitchen. Beautiful work! Plus, Chris has superb communication skills and quick to respond. They made extra effort to accommodate our needs and last minute changes. For instance, after they installed kitchen backsplash tiles, I noticed a small hole on a tile made for an old telephone line that we don't use.

Chris recently renovated two of our bathrooms, and we couldn't be happier with him, his crew, his process, his professionalism and friendliness, and, so importantly, the final product. He and Paul and Jerry were easy and fun to work with. They offered great advice but were also willing to do what was asked (even when it was stupid--my fault--and they later had to change it). Chris was always eager to go above and beyond what was asked. One day he noticed a couple bags of salt for the water softener and offered to go fill it up, totally renovation unrelated. When my brother passed away last year,my 89-year old mom could no longer live in her house in Cupertino and moved to Hawaii to live with me and my family. I was tasked with remodeling her house (bathrooms and kitchen) and tried to find a good contractor in an area. While I lived in CA 30 years ago and have friends in the area, I did not have any idea on who could do the work. It was also difficult going back and forth between HI and CA. Recently, Chris completed a major kitchen remodel for me and it turned out beautifully. Because it was progressing so well, I went on to update the entry way, bathrooms and dining room. The costs were fair and well-defined before we began each project (I had other contractors submit bids). Having done major remodels before, I knew how important it was to have respectful, reliable and professional people coming into my home each day and Chris and his workers met my expectations. Chris and his team did a partial bathroom repair (subfloor damage) and remodel (new tile floor) a few years ago. He diagnosed the problem correctly and did not oversell or suggest needless repairs, as other contractors did. Chris is honest, straightforward and diligent. The quality of the work is excellent. And, his quotes are reasonable.
Recently, I called him back for a different problem in a shower stall. As always, Chris showed up on time, diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly.

I met with several contractors for our full home renovation, and Chris really stood out as a genuinely kind and helpful person to work with. He was easy to talk to, very honest and straightforward, and pointed out some things that a couple other contractors told me that I needed but actually didn't. His pricing was extremely fair and reasonable. The only reasons why we didn't go with Home Works are because of 1) our time-frame and 2) we need a company that would take care of all aspects of the project, such as design and engineering, due to our hectic schedules.

After such a positive experience with our kitchen remodel 2 years ago there was no hesitation in hiring Chris to do our flooring , fireplace, and bathroom this year. They are professional in the highest sense of the word, in all and every aspect of their work. Every suggestion they made was worth listening to and implementing. Before that, we've never hired the contractor since my husband is a pretty good handy man. However, we decided to hire a professional for this project because of complexity of the project. We're glad we did. Also, we're glad we could work with Chris and his crew. They're very knowleadgeable and experienced. In addition, their work ethic is very good.
At design stage, Chris pointed out a dishwasher in our original design need to be re-located because of safety reason. Home Depot design person

Chris and his 2 man crew installed 18 kitchen cabinets and associated trim, molding and accessories. He and his team did a great job and completed the bulk of the install within 3 days. The remainder of the work needed to wait for the granite counter-top and tile flooring install. I was impressed with their professionalism and constant update and communication. Chris and team showed up at the time they said they would each day. And, most importantly, the team's craftsmanship was top notch! I would request that Home Depot use Chris Bajorek on any future home upgrades.
