After years of renovating hundreds of houses, We have developed a passion for home renovation and interior design. The installer is the final quality inspector; it is for that reason we are members of the National Wood Flooring Association. We train our associates and installers with the N.W.F.A. to ensure we are at the cutting edge of industry trends and advancements. There are many options for your flooring needs, we are confident that you will be delighted with our installation services.
Once one of our professionals' complete measurement in your home & reviews specific job needs, they will return the information to your local DFD store. Your DFD sales associate will then create a complete estimate for your review. You also acknowledge that installation fees will be additional and charges may be based on the total product recommended by the installer.

BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: I would definitely recommend District Floor Depot for anyone looking for new floors.
It was a long time in getting this project done, but the wait was worth it.
The staff was some of the most helpful and friendly I have dealt with in the DC area. When they came out for site surveys, three times because the scope of work changed, they maintained COVID protocols, and were prompt to get the quotes back to me.
The devilry date for the materials, due to a snow storm, they contacted me to let me know of the issues.
Installation was good and the end result was beautiful floors

The District Floor Team’s DC Rhode Island St. store did a great job installing my wood laminate basement floor. From start to finish the entire team was professional, helpful, courteous and punctual. From helping me find the right flooring, to explaining the various underlay options, to taking accurate measurements and providing a fair price, they were great. We didn't have a great experience with getting an estimate. It was more than 3x what they quoted us in the store, but the owner followed up and we ended up going with a different contractor, but we did buy the materials from here and are happy with them so far. The owner was very apologetic and helpful.

Excellent job replacing my flooring last year; easy from start to finish. Very nice Brazilian cherry and great installation as well as disposal/ clean up. There was a delay by a few days delay in finishing due to an underestimation in the amount of product needed but they did not charge for this. It’s supposed to be lost cost repairs too but I’m still waiting on the estimate for this.

Geronimo and the installation team were phenomenal. Fantastic attention to detail & gorgeous work with the flooring. They worked very hard, wore masks and were diligent about cleaning up. Beyond happy dealing with these guys. I was working with the owner (Mani) directly and one of his staffers, Ella. Both are very knowledgable about their products, service was prompt and friendly, and everything was done exactly as discussed. Prices were very competitive but to be honest the service is what made them stand out. The sales approach is a consultative approach, not pushy at all. Very impressed overall. Keep up the great work!

The whole team was fabulous, from the salesman to the installers. The prices are fair and reasonable. I got two other estimates from well known commercialized companies that spoke of big sales on hardwood and installation but gave outrageous estimates and refused to give a breakdown of cost. If your prices are fair then you should be able to give cost of material separate from installation and the customer can decide if it's reasonable...District Floor Depot did exactly this. We just finished redoing almost all the floors in our new house with District floors. They were fast, friendly and easy to work with. They started and finished the job exactly when they said they would. They put two types of luxury vinyl in our basement and our sunroom turned office. Both projects are perfect, the floors are so well done and the shoe molding looks great. They also refinished an entire second floor going from floor to floor carpet to beautiful tiger wood floors as well as two staircases. Everyone who I worked with at District Floor Depot was very friendly and helpful and patient. They had the best selection compared to other national suppliers and beat Home Depot's price. They did a nice job with installation, and we used them for repairs after someone damaged our stairs moving an exercise machine. Highly recommend them.

This is our second time using District Floor Depot and we truly cannot recommend them enough. They are professional, their customer service is outstanding, and the finished product always looks amazing. After starting the installation, they realized the flooring we selected was not going to work well due to our existing floors. They could have installed it anyway (we were out of town and the flaws would have been minor), but they called us to let us know and give us options. We really appreciated their honesty and expertise, and are thrilled with the result!

Great customer experience from start to finish. Responsive sales people via email, phone, or in person. They were able to level the floors in our basement, which other companies said they couldn't do. They did a great job installing our vinyl planks in the basement floor and steps and for less than others. They were able to cut the planks around our two sump pumps for a great look. We will definitely use DFD the next time we need flooring installed. Thanks!

Our upstairs neighbor had an issue with her washing machine, which ultimately meant that I had an issue with flooding. I went to District Floor Depot because of the positive yelp reviews, and am so happy I did!
The quality and selection of flooring are the best at District Floor Depot as compared to any of the big boxes (Seriously, even the big warehouses. District Floor Depot just has more selection). Competent, reliable and honest is how I would describe DFD! We did a major renovation of our house and shopped at 5 other floor vendors before finding DFD. Not only did the DFD team supply us with a great product at a competitive price, they did an excellent job installing it. We also made a few changes on our transition pieces during the install process and DFD was very patient, flexible, and cooperative.

Would recommend going elsewhere. I had my floors done in a small studio. Seemingly simple. I was told the work would take one day to complete. It took two full days even though someone came out to see the work that needs to be done in person.
When they left on day two they told me they were finished, however, one of my closet doors didn't close without pulling the baseboard off, there is a chip in one of the floor panels they put in, and the baseboards were cut incorrectly so they do not line up and are not flush with the walls. Pictures for reference.

We hired District Floor Depot to completely remove and replace our existing original 1940s floors which had been painted and had numerous large stains. They helped us find the perfect engineered flooring to replace. We happened to choose a very difficult to source grade of maple, complicated by issues at the mill. Through it all Mani and Rene were dedicated to ensuring we knew our options and that they were doing all they could to get the wood we wanted. If you're on a tight schedule, I recommend choosing something in stock!

The staff in the showroom was helpful . The showroom is organized and labeled well to aid in your decision making process. Please come with some basic measurements and ideas of what you want before coming in the showroom. Remember do your research and understand the terminology or you may be disappointed.
I give a very high rating to the staff that comes out to your home. Everyone that came was very friendly and professional. Very respectful of your home with respect to picking up after they have completed the job. I found José and Victor to be hard workers and friendly.

I hired District Floor Depots and from start to finish- it was a 5 star service. A representative came out quickly and provided a thorough quote and it was 10% less than another quote I received. My husband and I ended up returning to the store to check out the other samples/colors of luxury vinyl to make sure we liked the color.
