Chris is a Wilmington Native who started in the HVAC industry in 2003 selling bulk HVAC equipment to contractors. He soon realized that most contractors provided the same solution for most of their customers. After spending years in the commercial design build, large mechanical, and the residential HVAC construction industry, he decided he wanted to be able to tailor solutions based on actual needs and customer situations.
After graduating with an MBA from Liberty University, Chris decided to that starting his own company was the only was he would be able to accomplish this goal. Coastal Temp installed a new HVAC system and I am extremely happy with their customer service and also the price of the unit. Chris and his team installed the system without any issues. We experienced a problem when a new Generac generator was installed (not by Coastal Temp) and created a power surge that blew out a circuit board on the air handler unit. Chris and his team were out of town, but arranged to have a tech come over and install a new circuit board so we would have heat. We also had two surge protectors installed on the air handler and outside unit to prevent future surges and Chris

Coastal Temp came to our home to reconfigure the HVAC "zones" in our home. Personally I didn't know what this entailed or if it was even possible, but Chris explained the entire process to me (which is much simpler than I thought). The team came out and did the entire job in a half day. Amazing! If I could give these folks 10 stars I would.

Called Coastal Temp when our HVAC started making a horrible noise. Chris was able to partially diagnose by the sound over the phone and was at our house within 2 hours.
He was professional and helpful. As requested, Chris mapped out all of our options for repair possibility and costs vs replacement.
Chris had an estimate to us same day and was able to get the system delivered and installed in less than two days. His team was prompt, professional, and courteous. They left our space (inside and out) cleaner than they found it.
Cannot say enough positive things about this company.

Our HVAC stopped working and we called Coastal Temp by the recommendation of a friend. Chris came the same day and fixed the problem immediately. This was several weeks ago and it's still running well. He gave us good advice for maintenance and we plan to use this company again. Highly recommend.
