B+H installed a flue and wood burning stove in our old hearth. They were very accommodating with my schedule and were professional and knowledgeable. We have an old house with old house issues but B+H knew what to do. And they kept my kitchen clean! We're so happy with the result. Our dog is probably the happiest.

We had a leak in our bedroom around the chimney and when trying to use the fireplace it filled the room with smoke. B&H repointed the chimney which stopped the leak. They also made the flue of the fireplace bigger at the top so it would draw, and relined the furnace flue. They were extremely knowledgeable and did a great job would highly recommend!

I had a new chimney liner and cap installed. It’s an older house and not the easiest to work in but B+H did a great job and in the amount of time projected. They are professional, knowledgeable and made sure everything was clean before leaving.

I called and needed a chimney lining because I needed to replace a hot water heater. I didn’t know anything about this except what I had googled. Mario explained everything to me and I felt the stress melting away. They were booked out - do to great service I’m sure- and I needed the lining immediately so I couldn’t go with them. Price: $180 for a chimney cleaning/sweep
I have used B&H several times over the years. They were on time and did a descent job. I was surprised and little concerned that it only took this two-person team 15 minutes to clean and get on the roof to check things out. I was disappointed that they didn't clean the fireplace walls completely (see photo). In the past all of the soot would be washed off. I mentioned something to Tim and he had his sidekick come back to work on it for five more minutes. Still wasn't overly satisfied for the price I paid. $180 seems steep in the DMV region

I called in September to schedule someone to come out to look at my mother's chimney. She has stage 3 cancer and has no heat because her chimney was clogged.They called to reschedule her appointment 4 times. 4 TIMES. It is now December. There was one excuse after another, scheduling conflicts, blah blah blah. I called another Chimney service and they came out in a day and made my mother a priority because of this company's lack of experience professionalism. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Even to my worst enemy.

Great craftsmanship from this business. The crown of my chimney was cracked, and some mortar joints were decaying, letting water into the house. Tim from B&H, who is very courteous and professional, came out and did the repair (in January! I believe we had a slight "warm spell"). A few years later, when a different exterior maintenance company came by to give an estimate on gutter guard installation, the company's owner said he had not seen a chimney more beautifully done. He took pictures of the chimney's masonry work to keep in his files! This is how I know as a layperson

What a waste of time. I scheduled a chimney inspection appointment several weeks in advance for a property that is about 2 hrs away from me. I took the day off, drove to Baltimore. Right before the appointment, they called saying they can no longer come for the inspection & I'd have to reschedule. No apologies or explanation....

Tim with B&H Chimney came to our new house for a routine chimney inspection and we were very impressed. First of all, he did the inspection, noted some things for us, but then did NOT push for a cleaning The way B&H does it, the inspection costs $80 and a cleaning (if necessary) costs $40. I figured, "Hmm, wonder if they will recommend the cleaning?" but he said no, your chimney doesn't need it. Note: even $120 is cheaper than a lot of other companies in the area for an inspection and cleaning.

Tim was incredibly personable, efficient, and thorough. He took the time to talk me through all the work he would be doing inside and outside of my home, which I greatly appreciated. The best part was having him share the photos of potential items to be aware of over time on our roof and around the chimney, what steps should be taken to address them, but more importantly, providing a time frame on how soon they needed to be completed.
At the end of everything, he brought out his iPad, showed me the invoice which recapped the potential issues
