Scorpions win when it comes to imposing fear on homeowners and their families. There are several species in Arizona and some are more dangerous than others. Scorpions will sting you if they can get close enough. All scorpions are venomous mainly, so they can attack their prey. Some scorpion stings are a lot more harmful than others.
Subterranean termites are the most common in Southern Arizona. They are social insects that live in highly organized colonies. These termites like fungus infested wood and paper. If you have a termite infestation the most common sign is the presence of drop tubes that come out of the ceiling or walls.
Bees are social insects that live in colonies up to 60,000 strong. The queen is the largest in the colony and she can lay up to 3,000 eggs in a single day. Bees are responsible for pollinating plants and making honey, but some will sting you if provoked. The majority of Bees in southern Arizona are Africanized, so don't attempt to address this problem on your own.
Rodents can be a big issue in southern Arizona for many reasons. They can definitely prevent a fruitful garden and they can cause damage to property. They like to hang around if they have a good food and water source. If you have a garden put netting around it. Also keep dog or cat food covered or out of reach.

Sherman’s attention to detail and his genuine interest in your pest control concerns set him apart and above all the rest. My phobia of roaches and all things creepy crawly has made me wonder more than once why I live in Tucson?!?! However, I have seen very little of these little monsters in years because Sherman has done my pest & rodent control for as long as I can remember. With an acre + yard, bordering the desert, pack rats will always be a concern but Sherman has successfully kept them to a minimum and I am very very pleased with the service I get from him. Customer for life!!
