At Austin Tree Specialists, our arborists and climbers are trained to remove only what is necessary when a tree is pruned and no more. Using the latest ANSI A-300 pruning standards, our clients' trees are left full and natural looking. The one thing we see most often in the Austin and surrounding area is the over pruning of trees - the removal of perfectly good green foliage for no reason at all.
Patrick is an awesome arborist, hands down! I have a couple of young Monterrey Oak trees and one of them lost its leaves while the other seems healthy. I took some pictures and emailed him to ask if it was serious or not. He responded quickly and was very helpful. He seems to really care about trees and is not just out to make money.
For the last 25 years, Pat has been studying the structural and mechanical aspect of trees to learn why trees fail and how to identify trees that are likely to fail. Traveling as far as Europe to hear the best experts on the subject, Pat has become well versed in dynamics of tree mechanics and can offer suggestions to prevent large limb (or whole tree) failure from happening.

This guy was meant to come look at our trees today and missed his 2 hour window with zero call. We called 10 plus times and finally got a callback saying that “there was a lot going on” on our street.. literally nothing happening on our street and he didn’t even think to call. We even have a nice long driveway. Never again

Scheduled an appointment, was on-time, professional, and courteous. I just needed some branches trimmed away from the roof that the previous contractor did not remove. Quoted me a price and was able to fit me in within an hour. Very easy to deal with. After trying to get my trees trimmed for 6 months with 2 other contractors, I’m very happy and will keep Austin Tree Specialists on my list to call again. Wish I had called them 6 months ago.

Pat is easily the most honest and fair service provider I have ever come visit out house. I weekly get someone ringing my door wanting to cut on my trees. Finally I decided to look into it and called Pat out to my house. He took a look and decided that any work on my trees would be unnecessary and not worth his crews time or my money. It is so refreshing to deal with some one who is so honest and willing to operate in the customers best interest. He took the remaining time in our visit to educate me about my trees so that I would know what to be on the look out for and how to provide routine maintenance

Pat came to our home today to evaluate our trees. He walked with us and shared about the health of each tree. He gave pointers on what we could do or hire his company to do. Pat is very knowledgeable and was able to share with us in terms we could understand. He took his time and wished to answer any questions we might have. When we asked about an area we were thinking of planting a tree, he evaluated it. He gave us some useful websites to study about this area of Texas and the types of trees best for this area. Pat gave us pointers about purchasing trees as well. You will not get this service

Pat was awesome! He diagnosed our tree and gave us a clear treatment plan for nursing it back to health. He also took the opportunity to give us some super helpful info about the other trees and bushes on our property. I was very pleased with Austin Tree Specialist Pat Wentworth's advice and professionalism. As a new homeowner who moved into a relatively new home with an already existing landscape, I was very concerned about the health of several trees. Mr. Wentworth went into detail about the status of the trees, explaining the care he was prescribing so that I could understand. He also was kind enough to share his knowledge about several other plants that I had questions about. I will be sure to contact him in the future with my tree care needs and highly recommend Austin Tree Specialists.

Austin Tree Specialists came very highly recommended. Patrick was very responsive and helpful. He provided a quick and valuable evaluation of our tree's health. Unfortunately our tree needs to be replaced; but, Patrick was helpful in recommending potential replacement tree varieties to work well in our climate and also gave some tips on where/how to buy the best replacement tree. Thank you Austin Tree Specialists - would definitely recommend to others based on their responsiveness and knowledge.

The trees on my place are the best part! And Pat has taken beautiful care of them through years. After a recent storm and an email on the weekend, Pat offered to come out first thing Monday morning to check all the trees in the yard for their health and our safety. Wow - Pat at Austin Tree Specialists is as honest and helpful as they get! I contacted him about pruning some young trees that have started getting a little out of control and he actually said not to do it because it could impact the longterm growth and health of these new trees! Not only was he honest about not needing the service, he provided me with great tips on how to continue to care for them. I will definitely be calling Pat for all of our future tree needs because I know I will be working with an honest and knowledgeable person!
