We had monarch install a new AC and heating unit with a new thermostat on September 2020. The problem started when we turned on the heater around November or December of 2020. The thermostat would turn off and on consistently. I called several times and several technicians came back to check the device, saying that there was nothing wrong with it. I also complained about the permit that they said that I will receive that I never got. Eventually we stopped using the heater and stopped calling. Now that the weather is cold again, the same problem is occurring. The thermostat is not reading the temperature

Monarch, as a whole was excellent. Everyone I spoke to was professional and helpful. We were able to schedule service, the same day I called, for a leak in our system during actual rain in Bakersfield. Taylor was great. He was thorough and explained everything that he observed and the work that he did. This was, overall, a great experience.

Todays work was periodic, routine maintenance, and the guy did a good job. I’m not happy with the company which installed my AC & furnace 8 months ago because,
1. I specifically asked for more Cooling and heating to go into front bedroom which faces south toward the sun. The work they did was inadequate. The front bedroom has improved but it is too warm in the summer & too cool in the winter.
2. Today the maintenance guy is trying to sell me a surge protector for $182. I don’t think this was mentioned on the original install. If it is so critical why wasn’t it part of the original proposal

TL;DR Went to Costco. Costco uses Monarch for Lennox. Bought a Monarch brand HVAC system (ducts, condenser, evaporator, heat exchanger). Great warrantee (10 yr parts ,10 yr compressor, 20yr heat exchanger, 1 year labor, 3 years preventive maintenance) 4 day turnaround from purchase to install. 5.5 hour install. Very clean and professional. You don't have to go through Costco to use Monarch.
Monarch is the company contracted through Costco for HVAC services in the Central Valley from Bakersfield up to Merced extending out to SLO. They are the company that is used at the Lennox kiosk in the store
