Hibbs Lawn & Landscaping, LLC was founded in 2012 on the core principles of delivering quality service, at a fair price. Founder Brandon Hibbs has worked since 7th grade to create a company that would one day be the leader in lawn care and landscape installation industry in the St. Louis area. We believe in providing the highest quality service, using the best materials available, all at reasonable prices to our customers.
We apply a pre-emergent product to control crab grass and other weeds. Along with this, this product contains fertilizer to maintain a healthy, green lawn during the spring months. We apply a weed control treatment to make sure weeds are kept under control and a micronutrient treatment to ensure lawns have enough nutrients to stay green going into the summer months.
Spring cleanup should be done every year. With the unpredictable St. Louis weathers, the spring is a good time to remove all of the leaves, sticks, gumballs and other debris from the lawn. Along with this, we prune all boxwoods, and other bushes, along with cutting down all seasonal grasses. We also remove all debris from the property, leaving a clean lawn and landscape, ready for the first cut or for mulch to be laid down.
Core aeration and over seeding service is extremely beneficial to your turf. Core aeration is the process of running core aerator machines over your turf which pulls out small plugs of soil and turf. We double aerate all turf areas to allow for the best outcome for your turf. Depending on turf and soil conditions, the plugs are generally 2 to 3 inches in length, and about half an inch in diameter.
Dethatching is the process of running a power rake machine over the turf. This machine has flails that when engaged, rip the layer of thatch, or dead grass, out from underneath the healthy blades of grass. After running the power rake over the lawn, the thatch is blown into piles using commercial grade backpack blowers, and hauled off site.
