Steve Connelly began plumbing in 1995 in the apprenticeship program at the Job Corps in Washington D.C. After completion of the program he returned to the Kansas City area and began working in new construction, plumbing houses. After approximately five years he made the move to service and repair and has thrived in that arena ever since.
There are literally thousands of homes with polybutylene piping in Overland Park, Olathe, Shawnee and Lenexa. If your home was built in the early 90's, in Johnson County, there is a good chance you have it. Now that the piping is over 20 years old many home inspectors are flagging for replacement, even if you have never had a problem.
Whether you're looking to replace your current water heater with a tankless, or a standard tank-style water heater, we can offer virtually any solution to fit your needs and wants. We offer repair and service on existing water heaters as well. The average life span of a tank-style water heater is 8-12 years.
If you're getting water in your basement when it rains, chances are you need a sump pump. We offer installation of a new sump pump (with a sump pump pit) as well as installation of battery backup up sump pump systems. These are great to help you out in those times that your main pump just isn't quite handling the job or when your power goes out.

I called a few other places that wanted to schedule me for a few days out, I called Connelly and they came the same day to unclog our kitchen sink, Arthur came and resolved the issue, he was honest, professional, personable, and got everything taken care of. I have use them before so when I had a toilet repair needed I called them. Their scheduling is convenient as Jenny takes care of that via text messages. Brian and Arthur were at my house this morning and got the toilet leak fixed. They informed me about other items and fixed appropriately. I will tell you they are bit expensive but they have the best service. These will be my go to guys for any plumbing service. Five star ! Thanks !

We had a water heater stop working that Connelly Plumbing installed last Spring of 2020. Even though this was a new item, it apparently had a part go bad. The part was covered however the labor was not due to it being just past a year from install. The repair technician was there for about an hour and the bill was over $300.00. As I was on vacation at the time my youngest step-son authorized the work. When I called their office to inquire about the cost I was given a flat "the work was approved by the person at the residence". No other explanation was given. I've since used another local plumber

We've used CPS twice. They've always been upfront on pricing and get the job done. They are also respectful while visiting our home. They've fixed a shower leak for us and theyve installed a dishwasher for us as well. I've used other plumbers in the past, but none gave such a positive experience like this.

Jim was knowledgable, personable, and quick! He was able to quickly replicate the leak and implement a simple fix that resolved the issue. He was kind enough to answer additional questions about water pressure concerns and patiently explained why we were seeing the results we were and the options to resolve them. I'll be using Connelly in the future.
