I usually dony write reviews but I had to in these guys.. I had another company come look at my boiler and was told I needed to replace it and tgatvthe wiring from my unit to thermostat needed to be changed....they gave me an estimate of almost 7k to do the replacement. I ended up calling to get a quote on what they would charg to get a ballpark price and they talked me into getting a 2nd diagnosis on system done and I am sure glad I did.....Al came by and was able to fix the wire to the thermostat and was able to get boiler up and running. He also told me the furnace is good just needed

I love A&M Heating and Cooling. As a property manager, Marci makes service so easy! They go above and beyond to coordinate directly with tenants (which really makes my job a whole lot easier!) Service team is knowledgeable, timely, professional, and always explain in plain language what the issue is. Prices are more than fair for the quality and attention to detail. A&M saved me from a horrific situation I had with ABC Heating and Cooling (side review - NEVER use ABC).
A&M was able to fix an AC unit in my condo in less than 2 days after it took ABC seven tries without ever fixing it. They also saved me a ton of money (and hassle) but not moving forward with an entire HVAC installation that wasn't needed, which was recommended by ABC.
Marci & team are responsive, on time and completely reliable for fixing any HVAC issues I've had this summer.
HIGHLY recommend.

Marcy, and the team at A&M Heating and Cooling went above and beyond to get my Air Conditioning system replaced in a timely manner when we desperately needed it with 2 very young children at home during a heat wave. Marcy was a joy to work with from beginning to the end and even when I needed some additional paperwork for my home warranty.

I cannot say enough good things about A & M Heating & Cooling Service. Not only is the customer service impeccable, top notch and not only do they pick up their phone but they respond to voicemails just about immediately.
But just like a restaurant the service doesn't matter so much as the food and their food rocks. The AC they replaced (for a fraction of what another service wanted) is running better now that it ever has in our 8 years of living here. Professional, punctual and reliable -- you can't ask for a better HVAC experience than A & M!

I called the co. 1st thing in the morning. They had service reps out by late morning, and they had a diagnosis within a short period; I needed a new part which they had to pick up (I have an old furnace). They replaced the part, & my furnace runs like new ... couldn’t be happier! They were referred by a friend who sang their praise ... my friend was right. I will use them again when needed ... period. THANKS for quick, same day service.

Was very happy with everything! 10 out of 10! Marci, AL and the service technician were great. I had a new draft inducer and whole home humidifier installed. I have used ABC heating in the past and A&M’s pricing is more reasonable. They are licensed, bonded, and insured. Also, did a nice job cleaning up. Will be my top choice for any future heating & cooling needs. Very nice people and honest family business. Thanks again!

The BEST service call experienced in a long time! My AC went out, they came same day even in 90+degrees and wearing masks for health safety which I really appreciated. It turned out to be the motor and how awesome to learn they had one in their truck so it got replaced immediately!

Had to call A&M after ABC broke thermostat and said they could not do anything until tomorrow afternoon. Because there office is closed and there tech did not know what he was doing . Louise from A&M came and was very professional and kind and fixed the problem quickly . Will highly recommend A&M to everyone I know

My office manager requested a quote for a new hot water heater as they are never worth repairing . The associate showed up and provided a
Very high estimate and would not apply the $50 coupon advertised on yelp . This was a heater for one bathroom and retails for about $200 to $400. They wanted over $700 for the heater and well over $700 for repair . They have no supervising plumber or plumbing lic so this rate is absolutely crazy and over priced . Spoke to the owner and she was rude and argumentative asking if I was a telemarketer . On December 24'th called again about the $50 discount coupon

I've worked with A&M in two of my homes' boiler maintenance - one a single family home and the other 6 unit condo building. In both cases I've been super pleased with their service, reliability and prices. I called A & M Heating & Cooling Service around 2pm yesterday afternoon after discovering that the air conditioning unit in my River North condo was spitting water out the side onto the floor.

I have been dealing with A&M Heating and Cooling in two homes I have owned in Chicago over the past 14 years. One was a 2,300 rsf condo in River North and the other is single family home in Logan Square. I have had the privilege of working with Luis and Herman on site on numerous occasions for my Rheem gas heaters, Water Heaters, Humidifiers and Condensers. They are extremely knowledgeable and courteous, they show up on time and get the job done. In fact, they were just here yesterday and fixed my water heater, checked all filters, and serviced my 2 heaters.

We bought a water heater less than a year ago from A & M and have had nothing but headaches since. When the water heater goes out, the service person RARELY shows up during the window of time that's promised. The guy tinkers for awhile w/the thing, and then two days later, it's out again. (No, it's not that the pilot light just blew out either.) Now that we're calling them more frequently b/c this piece of garbage water heater keeps quitting, they don't call back after messages are left. Or best of all, we were recently

We have been using A & M for over 10 years to service the two air conditioning and furnace systems in our home. We have had almost all of the A & M staff in our home over the decade plus: Al, the owner and the technical guys-- Leo, Luis and Andy. They have seen us through routine maintenance, troubleshooting and replacements.

8/8/12 - My update is just a response to the comment from the business. My review contained facts. If a technician is not aware if something may or may not still be under warranty- than I feel the ethical thing to do is say they are not sure rather than telling a customer something is not under warranty. At the end of the day, we all have different struggles and situations-And what is important is that when you do business with someone you want to feel like you were treated fairly and respectfully- in this case I did not feel like I was.
