Jim was good about calling me back when I reached out to have him give a bid on replacing my roof. My folks had used him before, before I owned the home, and the roof was still in fair shape 20 years later. His crew arrived on time, worked hard, and did a good job. He even came back himself to replace a small piece of trim was overlooked. I was happy with the roof, the price and the workmanship.

Been calling around to get bids. I emailed him and he said to give him a call to setup a time. I had my husband call to setup a time to come out out and do an estimate. The day came and he never showed up or even called to cancel or reschedule. Then I get an email a few days later asking me to call and setup an appointment not realizing we had called and setup an appointment with him. So I filled him in on our missed appointment. He was quick to call my husband soon after that. We decided to give another chance after he left a message, so we called him back. Now he won't pick up when we call

I recently bought a house and the home inspector said the flat part of the roof needed some work. Jim Moylen was able to fix the leaks and was on time and on budget, can't get much better than that! He did great work and I will definitely use him for any roof work I need in the future. Highly recommend.

Called because the website states they specialize in flat roofs. Nope, they don't do flat roofs. Asked if they could point me in the direction of someone who could. Got huffy and told me no, and also that he was "on vacation" and was promptly hung up on.
If you're on vacation then don't answer your phone. Hanging up on a customer because you can't help them is pretty bad business.

Called Moylen Roofing for information on purchasing one tile for a replacement on my roof. When speaking with the owner he expressed that it wouldn't be worth his time to talk to me about this issue. I asked if he was not able to help me, could he point me in the direction to buy one tile. He stated he could not.. he just has tiles in his warehouse. He did state he would drive to my house to look at the situation only if I agreed to pay his minimum 200 dollars a job despite him saying my house was only 10 minutes from him.

Had Moylen Rooding out to repair my asphalt tile roof. Had quite a bit of dry rotted wood. Jim gave me an estimate that was more than fair. He completed the work on schedule and actually did more than we originally agreed. He beat all the other estimates by far. I couldn't believe some of the other companies estimates. Could have nearly put on a full new roof for what some other companies in Elk Grove wanted to charge for simple repairs. Highly recommend Moylen Roofing!

Jim Moylen and his assistant reroofed my house 4 1/2 years ago. They were prompt and efficient. They first had to remove the existing HardiShake tiles. The new Duration Premium Cool Shingles look great and seem to be fulfilling their purpose in keeping my home dry in the winter and cool in the summer. A year ago, I referred Jim to my son and daughter-in-law and they did hire him to reroof their house just before they sold it.
