The owner learned to care for and appreciate Oriental Rugs at an early age from his Hungarian mother who was a well-known needlework and repair expert. Our family has been involved in cleaning, repair, and restoration, and acquisition of Fine Oriental Rugs for 3 generations! It is always our great pleasure to help our clients with all aspects of Oriental and area Rug ownership, maintenance, and acquisition.
We always inspect our customer's rugs for damage when we are called to your home to pick them up for cleaning. We will recommend the Best, Most Cost-Effective way to keep your Valuable Rugs and Kilim around for years to come. Most often all that is needed is simple Edge Conservation, Overcasting, Belgian Stitch, or Dabble Knotting.

THIS IS IMPORTANT to understand, most 'so-called' Oriental rug cleaners are simply carpet cleaners in disguise! These people know what they are doing as they have been in the business for three generations. I strongly believe in small family businesses especially for my valuable items since you have chance to have informative chats with the owner besides getting good service. They made me love my rugs more than ever! I found them unfortunately after I let a commercial rug cleaning company ruined the shine of one of my rugs. Don’t make my mistake and talk to these guys first before going anywhere else. You will come back to them eventually.

They did a terrific job in cleaning a very valuable Oriental Rug. Dan and team were very professional, knowledgeable and service oriented and delivered on their promise. They delivered on time and provided a easy method to drop-off and pick-up with Dan's guide via You Tube on how to properly fold an oriental rug. Oriental Rug Pros provides great service! We had a damaged rug and an unraveling runner repaired , cleaned and appraised. We also had several other rugs cleaned and appraised. They sell wonderful under rug pads so the rugs won't slide on wood floors. I can't speak highly enough about Daniel and the service he provides. Colors that were muted or almost lost reappeared. His appraisals are fair, complete and reasonable as well. Well worth the cost and trip from anywhere in San Diego County.

We are so pleased with the services we received at Oriental Rug Pros! We have three original Turkish runners (from Kusadasi) that date back to 2000 and had only been cautiously cleaned once many years ago. We were very concerned about having them cleaned due to our personal attachments to them.
Dan, Mona, and their staff 'hit the ball out of the park'! The rugs are pristine and we are very grateful! Dan's Team is conscientious and professional. We intend to use them again for other area rugs that will be due for cleaning soon.

My basement office flooded on april 10 and i called dan at oriental rug pros, who had cleaned my karastan oriental rug several years ago. even with the coronavirus limitations he was able to get to my house in a few hours and pick up the rug for cleaning. his prices are fair and the work is excellent quality.

These guys are great. I have taken many rugs to them over the years including wool rugs, silk rugs and they have even repaired a needlepoint rug for me. They do a great job every time. They are always on time if they need to pick up and/or deliver a rug. And, when they deliver, they get it back exactly where it needs to be - no matter how big it is. I highly recommend them.

I was ready to throw my 2 silk runner carpets in the trash, because
5 years ago a friend brought her puppy to my house, and the puppy had
an accident on the carpets. I tried getting the stain out (big mistake) my-self, and damaged the carpets more. I wanted to get an appraisal, so we'd know what to ask for when selling, but Justin advised that he could give me an approximate value. Thorough, professional and my rugs never looked better since the first day I brought them home! I just had four rugs cleaned and two of those repaired. The repairs are meticulous. The rugs are spotless. I recommend them so highly that I just sent two more of my own rugs for cleaning and one of those is also getting a repair.

Justin came the day after I talked to him. He was prompt, quiet, professional, thorough, and efficient. He gave us some good advice on maintenance and preservation. This is the first rug appraisal we have had so I don't have anything to compare it to but I feel confident in his appraisal. I was not thrilled with the appraisal value because the sellers said it was from a different place and valued quite a bit higher. Anyway, it is good to know where we stand and I am very glad we did it. It cost $350. $100 per rug with certificate and $50 house call.
