North Current Buiders was founded in 1999 by Rano Perrizo. Rano has a civil engineering and project management background. After working at Stanford University in Project Management, Rano started North Current Builders, and in 2000 he built his first home from the ground up. Since that time, North Current Builders has specialized in remodels, additions, and historic renovations.
An ocean current is a continuous, directed movement of ocean water generated by breaking waves, wind, temperature, and tides. North Current Builders works in the same fashion. A proper construction process has a directed flow. Obstacles often come in, but are expected and part of the current. I've used Rano over the past 24 months to perform several home improvement projects. These projects included a master bath sub floor repair and tile installation. Rano installed an entertainment system and relocated and installed a new HVAC system in my attic. The larger projects included a complete kitchen remodel, a master suite addition and all the hardscape in my back yard.
The attention to detail and quality of craftsmanship was impressive. Rano worked off a contract we both agreed upon and ran the project according to a schedule. I remained in my home during all phases of construction

Rano did a remodel job on our home in 2012, that involved a new kitchen, two bathrooms ,new windows, refinishing all the hardwood floors, repiping, installing whole house water filter system, skylights, new baseboards, etc. The job took six months, and we lived in the house while the work was done. Rano and his team were professional, as well as courteous. They were very knowledgable, and most accommodating to our needs. We lived in the house while the work was done ,which is a challenge for the homeowner as well as the construction crew. Every morning they would warn me when they needed to

I had Rano's team install a new water heater and do some repairs to my ceiling. I have to say, the quality of work and level of professionalism were exemplary! His crew was obviously very skilled and efficient. They were polite and careful, covered up and protected everything beforehand, and cleaned up completely afterwards.
I would gladly hire his services again and recommend him to all my colleagues.

Rano Perrizo and his team at North Current Builders have completed several projects for our home. His team is excellent, careful, controls dust and cleans up after themselves. His company is licensed and insured (many contractors are not). He manages the permits needed for the work and uses an architect/engineer to do proper structural load analysis (many contractors do not). I strongly recommend North Current Builders to you.

Rano Perrizo and his team at North Current Builders did an outstanding job in creating a new kitchen for me. The work was finished ahead of schedule and all details were meticulously attended to. Rano had a team of men that were courteous,careful, dependable, trustworthy and left the house in a very clean fashion every day. The job looks great and my husband and I are extremely pleased. We would highly recommend Rano for all construction projects.
