Atlas Flooring

I had my living room floor refinished by Atlas. It turned out beautiful!!

We were a bit hesitant to hire Atlas Flooring for our 1500 feet of hardwood that needed to be sanded, stained, and sealed. Their quote was about 30% less than other companies we compared. But since we're planning on selling our home, and the floors were in bad shape, we decided to give them a try.

We needed to move out for 7 days during the process, so headed to Colorado. During that time, San Diego was hit hard by a wind and rain storm. We had previously had water infiltration under two west facing doors, so we gave Walter a call to see if he could check on them. He came over on both Saturday

We made the mistake of adopting a feral cat a couple of years ago and he destroyed our 4th bedroom by peeing all over it! We finally peeled up the carpet and pad and discovered wood floors in pretty bad shape. We decided to restore the floors opposed to laying down laminate or more carpet.

Atlas flooring came out the day after I called them and gave me an estimate on the tiny room. I got another quote, sight unseen, that was double the quote of Atlas so of course we went with Atlas.

They started the project the following week and were finished in three days. They only worked for a few hours

After calling several times, I believe it was Shelley that got back to me. She has been working reduced hours due to the pandemic. My estimate was lost or Walter did not completely understand exactly what we needed and my phone number was not forwarded to him. At any rate, about 4 weeks or so after he was out he was able to get back to me and needed to take some additional measurements. They provided a highly competitive bid, however, informed me that they did not move furniture or appliances as they had had negative experiences in the past with customers complaining about either scratched floors

Atlas came highly recommended by our friend in the historic home restoration field. We scheduled the floors of our 1912 bungalow
to be refinished while our home was empty after being a rental for several years. They were able to accommodate a small window of availability and get the work done. They were very clear in their estimate so there would be no surprises. The end result is stunning. They were meticulous in the corners and areas of complex moldings often neglected with this type of work. I highly recommend hiring Atlas for your precious old floors and please note, they do not work weekends

We had a water leak that created mold damage to our floors. Thankfully, insurance covered and the restoration company had their flooring partner quote the job. Having worked with Atlas before on another house, we didn't care that their estimate was slightly higher.

As expected, their work was perfect. Their office is extremely professional and responsive. The estimate, billing, and transaction flowed super smoothly. I really appreciate efficient systems and theirs works very fluidly.

We absolutely love the work Atlas floor did refinishing our hardwood floors. These floors had been covered up with carpet and had many rows of nails and some water damage. My husband and I recently purchased a new house with almost all hard wood floors. Of course, as soon as we received the keys, we were excited to move in. One of the best floor refinishing experiences I've ever had, this company uses the best equipment, their technicians are very skilled, I experienced very good communication throughout the project and the results were outstanding.

We replaced the carpet upstairs with hardwood. Atlas was great, Sherry and Walt were responsive. We are very happy with our new floors. Nick does fantastic work! I appreciate his knowledge and craftsmanship in creating beautiful results. I would definitely hire them for another project.

Our floors look fabulous! Atlas did demo to dining room/kitchen tile, and laid new flooring to match existing parquet wood. They sanded and stained the two floors to match perfectly... Again, Our floors look fabulous!

We selected Atlas Flooring for a difficult water damage repair on our existing 14 year old ash hardwood floor. Basically, they needed to repair the plywood sub-floor, replace the boards in the damaged area, (approximately 200 sq. ft.) and then lay new ash flooring in an area originally covered by carpet (30 ft. x 30 ft.). Walter did the initial bid, provided us with a hard schedule for installation after the wood arrived, and backed it up with discounts based on schedule slippage. After the wood arrived (3 weeks from order), it acclimated in the house for about a week and then Nick did the installation

We were very impressed with Atlas' work. Walter was a pleasure to work with and even returned after the job was done to review it. The work was perfect and we have received raved reviews. One thing to remember is that when you have the floors sanded, it will get everywhere... Other than that, would have them back again when need be.
