Services
Sound Isolation Company was founded in 1990, by Jody Cook, to provide a source for consultative sales of reliable products to create privacy between rooms. Effective soundproofing isn't simple; Jody identified a gap in the construction and remodeling industry between the actual user of products and the contractor or manufacturer of soundproofing products.
Thanks for visiting our projects section. Over the years we have done 100's of projects for residential, commercial, industrial, studios, schools, churches and more. Our goal in this section is to feature some of our most interesting soundproofing projects to demonstrate the services and products we can provide.
A common noise complaint in office environments is, "I can hear everything next door through my walls." But if your office has a grid ceiling with tiles, it might not be the walls at all. In most office buildings, the walls between offices stop just above the grid ceiling, so there is a big open-air cavity above you and your neighbor.
We were recently contacted by a customer in Virginia with a house renovation underway. They planned to turn their basement into a rental unit and were concerned about the new tenant making and hearing noise through the ceiling, and wanted help with soundproofing from floor to floor. Our client was very clear that they wanted to do this one time and get it right.
We were contacted by Jeff Romer, a developer in Ft. Myers to consult and design a soundproofing plan to be used in a 100-year-old building on Main St. in Fort Myers, Florida. Jeff was performing a gut renovation, to convert the building into an entertainment and residential space. The ground floor would house a restaurant/bar, and the top floor would be converted into four high-end apartments.

After being drivin from every room of our 2800 sq ft home by my wife who doesn't exactly share my love for Hi-Fidelity Music and Equipment I have found myself banished to the basement! If that's not bad enough I suddenly realized that this was my last chance and I had better get it right or hire a hit man to knock off the wife! My lovely wife may have solved the Audio Equipment collection problem easily enough but the "Noise Problem" AKA ..Me is now directly under the master bedroom! After countless hours on the Net and YouTube reading about Soundproofing Music and Home Theater Rooms I soon became

I had a great experience with these guys. I needed to do-it-yourself build a semi-sound proof room for rock band rehearsal in my basement. I had done it before, but I couldn't find the products I needed. hey had all the materials, plans, and advice required. I would highly recommend these guys - the room works and I achieved about 30db of reduction. I can now have rehearsal after my kids are asleep with full band including drums.

Our home theater soundproofing was a tremendous success! We weren't sure exactly what we needed to stop sound from our home theater to the rest of our home. We called several companies online and were given lots of advice that really didn't make much sense and cost far too much. Then we found Sound Isolation Company. They took the time to explain the products we should use and even spoke to our contractor several times to make certain he was installing everything correctly. We could not be happier with the theater! The hubby can watch sports as loud as he wants and I can sleep upstairs without

Bought some soundproofing for a theatre room floor. I installed it per the instructions. I might as well have put down a couple rolls of paper towels. This product does not work at all. My carpet pad does a better job at muting the sound. Also I was lied to by customer service a few times about a damaged roll of soundproofing that I received. They never took care of it and quit answering my phone calls.
