We were remodeling our kitchen in the suburbs and needed some patch repairs and refinishing of our hardwood floors. Adrian and his team were transparent, fair on pricing, and did great work at lightning speed. We are planning on installing new hardwood in other rooms of our house in the next few years and will definitely be using Rovin's for that work.

Go elsewhere. I had them do a job for me a few years ago. They did a good job on the floor, but didn't seal the room (lofted bedroom). Dust was in every corner of the apartment. They gave me a discount for their crew not sealing the room off, and the owner was super nice about it. Due to that, I tried to use them again. I had a couple of estimates and they confirmed on October 13th that they could do the work this week between 10/20-10/29. I have it in an email, but the owner said they can't do it for 3-4 weeks. I had everything lined up with my tenant and now I have to find a new company to do

This is unfortunately one of those experiences where I had a much different experience than most of these reviewers. Overall, my main frustrations center around poor communication, and, no attention to detail on the final product.
The initial quote was easy to schedule and I got a quick price quote via email. The person who came to do the quote told us we'd only need to be off the floors after they finished for an hour, which is great since we live in the space we wanted redone, and that we couldn't/shouldn't be out of town during it, as they needed us there to approve the color

I was delighted with Rovin's Flooring dedication to professionalism, commitment to delivering excellence and their craftsmanship! They did an amazing job refinishing the floors throughout my condo. They respond quickly and follow through on ever commitments.
We had cleaning solution spill under my sink that damaged the floors after Rovin's refinished the floors, and small section of the floor got damaged. I immediately contacted Adrian at Rovin's, they came out and repaired the floor. Rovin's is amazing and I highly recommend. They will not disappoint!

We had Rovin's out to put hardwood in our new condo back in January. They were professionals from start to finish. We got several estimates- Rovin's was the cheapest. We initially planned to do new floors in only one portion of the house, but we changed our minds and decided to do the whole floor at the last minute. We called for a quote and someone was there the next day to gather information on the work to be done. We had a quote that evening and when we scheduled to get the work done, the workers arrived on time with all the tools needed for the job and wore mask due to the virus. They worked professionally and were very courteous when we had questions. The work was completed on time and everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. The floor looks great, it is just what we wanted.

We rehabbed a vacant townhome during the pandemic, no easy feat. We started with very damaged golden oak floors. We asked Rovins to refinish the existing wood floor, using a white wash, and add new wood floors in the kitchen and match the old with the new. They did a great job. This picture doesn't do justice to the work they did but I just finally remembered to write this review when someone asked about the company we used for the floors, so I took this quick photo. This is the refinished old floor next to the new floor.

Update: As Rovin mentioned, our relationship was good UNTIL we received an invoice that did not reflect what was agreed upon. When we received the invoice, we inquired about the additional water based coat that was added to the project because we were not expecting this to be on the bill as it was confirmed by Rovin, that we will be going ahead with just using oil based coat. For additional context, Rovin did let us know that we would need approval to use an oil based coat due to the rules and regulations that they have to follow. As mentioned above in the review/comments, because we did not have

We live out of state and had some trouble to find a reliable local contractor to refinish our condo in Hyde Park prior to move in. Rovin's was AMAZING. We got quotes from a few companies and their price was by far the best, and I felt confident choosing them as a friend had used them for two flooring projects and had great things to say. They were PROMPT (like showing up literally at 8 a.m. when they say 8 a.m.) every day, super polite and clean, and were quick and thorough. We had carpets ripped out upstairs and flooring installed and stained. The final product looks UH MAZING and they David and his dad were phenomenal. The ONLY small faults I found- there's a small blemish we found on the stairs where the varnish or finish

So, this is in addition to the review I previously posted. My new hardwood floors that they installed, are warped like the waves of the ocean!
Not to mention, they in no way, left any phone calls or emails prior to showing up to do the work. I was the one asking for clarification, not them.
After all of this, I am going to have to go court about my warped floors. Overall, just a very bad experience.

10/2019 ***Update*** I used Rovin's again for my new home and they did not disappoint. The results were similar to the previous work, but not only was the refinishing job great, but they also matched the color of my existing floors. They do excellent work.
4/2018 My refinished floors look amazing. Adrian and his crew did a great job. They went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and were very patient with me. I would definitely use them again in the future.

These guys are professionals; from getting the quote to the final product. We wanted to replace the carpet in three bedrooms and install new red oak hardwood floors. Adrian gave us the most competitive quote, I had five. The crew came in and finished the project in three days. The new floors look amazing! We have already recommended them to a few friends. They were fairly priced and incredibly helpful and answered all my annoying questions in a friendly and knowledgeable way.
Also my floors looked awesome. They got out all the furniture and cat scratches and just...the years of living and made it look like I was a responsible person who cares about his floors again.
Also replaced some bad boards are a very fair price. Best people ever with helpful billing department as well.

From start to finish, they made this process as pain free as possible!
They were timely in communications, and scheduling. The people who did the refinishing were very nice and gave good advice.
I was planning to do darker floors but after they showed me a sample I switched to the below.
When they finished, they called and let me know so I could come see it while they were there.
Overall a great experience!

I needed to get some old carpet replaced with hardwood in 3 bedrooms. This was the biggest project I've ever done to my home. Having no prior experience with this type of work and no personal references, I found this place on yelp and got an appointment for an on-site estimate right away. I thought the quote given was very reasonable.

They restored 70yr old original hardwoods beautifully, patched areas seamlessly and I had them back to install new hardwood flooring in the addition when I was ready. As with most old houses I had a few interesting spots they had to work around. They were creative in troubleshooting and didn't charge a dime extra. Worked clean too! As I recall, their pricing was also excellent and my floors have stood the test of time.

I had water damage to a cherrywood floor in my condo in Chicago. Rovin's was the name that our building manager suggested. I had the wood delivered from an outside supplier, and we had to do some custom gluing to get it done.
In the end, the Brazilian Cherry hardwood floor, which came into being, looked better than the wonderful floor that had been destroyed. Great attention to detail on the transitions to each room too.

There isn't much I can say, here, that hasn't already been said. Rovin's was consistently my lowest bid for flooring, and yet still did a fantastic job on the flooring.
This was especially impressive given that:
1) I was away for almost the entire installation process. Most subs would treat this as a vacation (and license to do a poor job), but Rovin's stayed in contact the entire time, and still clearly maintained the level of quality that I would expect from all of these reviews.
2) My subfloors were uneven concrete poured a century ago. I'm not sure how they did it, but Rovin's managed to

Loved them! Rovin's came as a recommendation from my old boss and I am very pleased. Initially we were just planning on replacing the carpet in 2 bedrooms with hardwood and matching it to the existing hardwood in the rest of the house, however when Adrian came out for the estimate he let us know that matching the existing floors would be very hard to do as they were so old. He provided us 2 quotes, one for the original job and one to sand down all of the existing wood and restain to match the new wood exactly.
