Tony and his crew worked hard on repairing our dry root and even found carpenter ant damage on another part of the house that we had no idea was there! They saved us money by being competitively priced and without cutting corners. Tony walked my husband and me through all that would need to be done to insure that our house would be safe from any further water damage. I am a long-time DIYer that rarely pays for something I can do myself. My interests run from engine repair to carpentry and while I am not an expert at everything I do, I generally do an excellent job. I recently had knee surgery and cannot climb ladders until my knee recovers. As life sometimes goes (luck/karma/divine intervention...), my home developed a water leak up towards the second story where the chimney and overhang meet. I hired Sound Siding to replace a rotting deck in March 2015 that cost me $15,000. I would never hire them again.
Additionally, Sound Siding has done a recent $150,000 re-siding project on a West Seattle condo building where I'm a Board member.
Their crew covered-up at least one dryer vent with siding by mistake, their grave oversight only recently discovered by accident when our dryer vents were cleaned. Dozens if not a hundred loads of wet laundry have been dried with the moisture being evaporated either UNDER the new siding or into the crawl space where it can cause damage like black

Tony is extremely unprofessional and does not follow up or follow through with his word. I called tony a few weeks ago, he came out to "do a quote" did not give me any information that day, was a complete waste of time, said he would send guys out to look at it as well and then send me a quote in a few days, a week went by I called him again. Spent 10 mins going over the same details we previously went over, told me that I was not in the system and that is why I didn't get a quote had me send an email to him again, told me someone would be coming out that same day, did not happen by the way. I had sound siding replace all of my windows and put Hardy Plank siding on my house. It looked very good at first. After a little while I had moisture between the pains in one of my windows. ( lifetime warranty) It took several calls to get them out to replace the window. Now my siding has gaps and the flashing is falling out in some places. I called and talked to Tony. He said they would probably have to come out and caulk it and he would call me back. He never called back and now won't return my calls. He seemed really good until the job was done and paid for then doesn't care. Not

After my initial call Tony came later that same day to take a look at the project. It was a few siding boards that need to be replaced on one side of our chimney. He indicated to my husband that he would send someone the next day. Sad to say the next day came and went, then a week came and went without a phone call, text or any sort of communication to this day. We found another siding company who wanted our business and did a great job.

This review is for Siding work and window installation. The work was ok, and the price was fair, but it wasn't a great experience for me. I got pressured into doing more work on the house than I was really ready for. They chipped my interior wall up on a window install, which they did (eventually) fix, but I had to repaint it - hence the 2 star rating.
Very likable outfit, but I ended up with a few headaches. Would I use them again? Maybe small jobs...

Poor communication. The owner, Tony, showed up at our 13-unit condo building in downtown Tacoma & gave an estimate (within a reasonable period of time) for repairing a leaking thru-wall scupper. His estimate was reasonable, however, he never returned any phone calls left for him afterwards to schedule the work. I tried their office # on 3 occasions (the guy who answered the phone kept saying that the work had could only be scheduled by Tony)...and I left a voicemails on Tony's cell phone an additional 3 times...but he never returned the call.

I highly recommend this company. From initial contact to execution of the work I was extremely satisfied. It is so hard to find a company you can trust these days. They take pride in their quality of work and their pricing was very competitive. The crew was always on time, considerate, hard working, meticulous and cleaned up at the end of each day. I was completely impressed with Sound Siding's service. During the recent heavy rains we had the unpleasant surprise of water seeping into our house due to severely saturated siding near a large window. Tony, the owner, gave us a bid the same day. His crew worked hard, nonstop, for two days in the harsh wind and rain. Despite traffic and road closures from flooding they were on time. However, I have called them over the last few years to do small jobs for clients of mine and they are not interested in helping. They only want large jobs so do not call them for anything less then a large expensive job.

I am very happy with the finished job Sound Siding did on my new house. Tony said I want to make you happy. I found this to be true. Before I even hired Tony and his crew. Tony listened to me, discussed materials and quality of work and price. It was all very reassuring. So of course I hired him. As the crew prepped the house and put siding on and then painted it Tony was there asking for my critique and input. They were doing a great job with an eye for the smallest details. I didn't get just painted siding. He did siding and stack stone and wood walls accenting my porch. It is beautiful

I had Sound Siding side a section of my house. I got 4 other bids before them and Sound Siding was $1,000 cheaper then all of them. When they came out to measure my house to do their bid, they didn't pressure me into signing that day like all the others did.
They finished the section of my house faster then I thought. The workers out here worked really hard and did a really good job. I will definitely be using Sound Siding for the rest of my house. I highly recommend them. They have a perfect BBB rating.
