The many equipment options and contractors to choose from when considering an HVAC upgrade can be overwhelming. Modern residential systems cover the spectrum from basic single stage heating and cooling to higly advanced sensing microprosessor controlled multi stage units. First decide what you need then what you want and finally how much you're willing to spend, set a budget then get the very best you can afford. Vogel heating and cooling came to my house at 10:30 on a Sunday night to get my air conditioner back up and running during one of the warmest days of June. He tried to troubleshoot me over the phone, which I truly appreciated, and when he arrived he was prompt, courteous, and very professional. I moved into my first home and about a year after I had moved in i had the worst luck of my A/C giving out. Initially the unit i was promised at a cost was "out of stock" so i could upgrade to a more expensive unit or cheaper replacement at the same price. Initially frustrated of course and once installed there were still some issues. I called and… was upset but tried to be understanding as possible. At first this seemed like a terrible company but they were so willing to work with me. They sent multiple techs out to diagnose the problem and realized there was additional work needing done

Had a new furnace and A/C installed.
The good:
1. Estimate was prompt (several other companies didn't even bother after they looked at the job)
2. Furnace works alright
3. They took a credit card for this very expensive project allowing me to earn cash back from the credit card company
4. They got the proper permits from the city
The bad:
1. Did not install the size of A/C that was bid (they put in a smaller unit to save the cost of installing larger lines, which was presumably part of the bid)
2. Had to pay for a crane when the A/C unit they installed was so small it was not necessary
The good:

Called the emergency line last night, our air went out and we have 4 kids and animals. The temp in the house got to 95, the lady said a tech would contact us and we would be charged around 160 dollars. We told her that was fine and then never received a call from anyone. Blows my mind that there was zero attempt at any contact.

I needed 5 runs of ductwork (approx. 80 sq feet) installed for my HVAC system in my basement. The old ductwork was asbestos wrapped and had been removed by a separate asbestos abatement company.

We purchased our A/C and furnace from Vogel a few years back. Unfortunately a part went bad in our A/C unit. The part was covered under warranty but the labor was not covered. I was dissatisfied as the labor was going to cost 800 dollars. Vogel management called me back and said they would cover the part and labor. I scheduled them to come to my house and check the furnace prior to me using it this Fall. I showed the technician the furnace in the basement. Shortly thereafter i heard a noise downstairs. Then i heard it again and again. So i went downstairs to see what he was doing. He had drilled several holes in my furnace's duct work! I asked him what he was doing. He said he was checking out my furnace. I told him i just wanted it checked for winter before i use it (like i do each year for safety). He said he was told to do what he was doing and that he wasn't going to stop until he completed

We used Vogel to replace our furnace and air conditioner and add a whole-house humidifier. I made attempt to install a wifi thermostat, and because of the wiring I had in my house, it was a little beyond my knowledge base, so it was time to call in the professionals. I can always count on Vogel to answer the call and do their best to accommodate my needs. Jesse showed up to my house in the time frame given and had everything running in no time with a cold spell coming on. Jesse took the time to give me some pointers on running the thermostat and even assisted in the programming, something that I did not expect. The right equipment, at the right price. Plus 100% financing! The sales and service tech were the most professional of the 3 bids that I received. The service tech Adam S. that installed my new HVAC system was superb. On time or early, cleaned up after he was done, and went the extra mile to help me out. At the time of the installation I had a full cast on my leg. Adam took the window unit I was using while my A/C was down and pulled it out of my window for me. He didn't have to do that, his job was done. He was just helping me out. Just a great experience all the way around.

I signed up for a service agreement with Vogel and I'm glad I did. They usually send out the same technician and he does a great job, working quickly and answering any questions. There are a lot of HVAC options out there and I've had some poor experiences with other companies, but you can't go wrong with Vogel.

Vogel/Steve and Matt did a wonderful job on the installation of my air/heat and humidifier. I would highly recommend Vogel and Steve and Matt. Steve explained everything that was going on and went over the new unit, humidifier and the thermostat to make sure that I totally understood. Matt came back to clean out my vents and was very polite and courteous. I will defiantly will continue to use Vogel for my heating and cooling needs.
