Rust Architects was created in 1980 with a major emphasis on energy conservation and environmental awareness. Rust Architects & Construction has resided in downtown White Bear Lake since 1980. We have purchased and located our firm in many historic buildings over time. Our most recent location is in the old First National Bank Building which is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was designed by Clark E Van Kirk in 1921.
We have 10 commercial properties with 45+ tenant spaces that offer a variety of rental options and rates for any business. I have known Bil Rust since the early 1980's. He did my architectural work for a national chain of restaurants I built in MN. Recently I hired his firm to do a survey of the physical condition of an office/mfg bldg I own in the MPS market. He did an outstanding job and does followups as required. I highly recommend his services.

Just putting the finishing touches on a 15 year vacant building that is now a Domino's pizza. I was hesitant of using an architectural firm out of state. They absolutely met my expectations. After interviewing several firms, we hired Bill Rust to help convert our 1940's cabin in northern Wisconsin into a modern, four season home. Bill's vision and understanding of what we wanted was excellent. The result is a showpiece home that retains the flavor of the original building, but has opened up huge spaces for for family living and entertaining. Rust Construction did an excellent job with the contracting and build of our home. We worked with them remotely from London via telephone and a camera system that allowed us to discuss anything that came up. The firm seamlessly looped in our decorator

I am a manufacturer's representative in the park and recreation field and have had the opportunity to collaborate on the design and construction of a customized park shelter building with Bill Rust of Rust Architects.
