Services
A dry-stack boat storage facility designed to hold over 300 boats in an environmentally friendly footprint. Site also holds 20+ mast-up sailboats on land, customer parking, and a County Sherriff's Boatwright facility. The building skin is translucent material to highlight the inner workings for the marina skyline, as well as allow in daylight to eliminate the need for electric lighting.
I've been working on a concept to update the "soft glow" of the famous Artichokelight by Louis Poulsen for the fluorescent high-efficacy realities of today's energy code. Combining the desire for a super efficient linear source, with the flexibility of adjustable optics I've come up with the Florchid: its a completely modern take on lighting for large spaces.
In a typical construction project there are four parties: Owner, Architect, Contractor and the City. Each will have a defined role; the Owner has a wish list, a budget and a time-frame. The Architect's job is to take those three criteria and draw them in such a way that the City can approve the drawings for the Contractor to build.
We hired Jamie to remodel our master bedroom bathroom as per a recommendation from our contractor. He started by sketching a few different designs, which we discussed the pros and cons of, followed by some more detailed renderings. What Jamie came up with was far superior to anything I could have imagined and looked almost impossibly big on paper.

Jamie was the architect for the complete rebuild of our house. From the very beginning, he and his staff were responsive, pleasant and professional to work with. They were also patient with the changing nature of the project and its iterations. I had been worried about getting the permit and plan approval, as I'd heard that can cause delays and hassle, but they made that process very expeditious. We feel lucky now to be living in a beautiful, light-filled house designed just for our family.

I hired Jamie last year for a remodel where I was partitioning a new bedroom in my condo. His cost was very reasonable and he was just easy to work with. You immediately get a sense that he's a good trustworthy guy that's great at what he does running a small business. After using Jamie's services, my contractor had a screw up which required immediate response from Jamie, and Jamie was kind enough to update some blueprints with corrected info from contractor on a Saturday, so construction can complete in time for inspection. My initial phone call to Jamie B Myer Architects was good. The phone was answered by someone on his staff and he, accordingly asked me some questions about my property: what it was I needed done, and my contact information and I received a prompt call back from Jamie later that day... So far so good. Jamie asked me to briefly describe what I wanted done and with very little information, declined the job. I was disappointed and a little confused that he could make such a rash decision with little to no information, when I asked him if he would meet me at the property to see it and do a more accurate

Iam a local Los Angeles realtor and Jamie designed 2 homes that I recently had the pleasure of selling. Jamie was proactive and a pleasure to work with. His work was very well received by buyers in two high end locations which made my job so much easier. During negotiations I asked Jamie to draft up a quick sketch of a guest unit/studio for one of the projects. I fully expected to pay him for his time but he offered to do it for free in order to help me sell the house. He also had the sketch ready within a day. I could not be any happier with his services.

I called Jamie Myer Architects several weeks ago and spent quite a bit of time discussing a full remodel of our house with the very nice gentleman who answered the telephone. He was obviously taking notes and seemed both interested and enthusiastic. He also assured me that Jamie would call me by COB that same day to discuss the project. It's been three weeks, and still no call. This lack of follow-through and professionalism does little to inspire confidence. Needless to say, I will be looking elsewhere for an architect.

We just finished renovations on our home - and its FABULOUS!
My husband and I were 1st time home buyers and our house needed some work.
Jamie came highly recommended and he could not have been more amazing to work with.
We had an IDEA of what I wanted to do...but Jamie's team came back with ideas that were so much better and still worked within our budget.
The plan was functional, chic, and he checked every single box in a really smart way.
We ultimately raised our ceilings, opened up our floor plan, Created an laundry room and a walk in master closet.

I used Jamie to design my front yard. He came up with a totally unique, special design that exceeded my expectations. He is very easy to work with and I was so impressed by him that I used him again for an interior design project for my office. Again, he did not disappoint and my office looks amazing.
