Bruce Lyons started his remodeling career in 1972 working with his father's St. Paul based remodeling company, Merle's Construction. I have had the good fortune to learn the industry because my dad had a very successful general contracting remodeling business for 46 years. So a lot of things that I had the privilege to do, like doing business on a handshake because the trust was there based on the previous experiences customers have had.
If you are pleased with the design and approximate cost of the project, we ask for a small Design Retainer which usually represents about 2% of the approximate job cost. This fee will be applied toward the down payment of your home remodeling project when the contract is signed. This allows our design professional to continue spending time to refine the design until it reflects exactly what you are looking to have done.
The Estimating Department will in most cases require a site visit to become familiar with the project and what will be required to set up the process of construction in your home. Some specialty trade partners will want to see the home in its current condition to evaluate what exactly will be needed to accomplish their tasks.
Construction begins after all of the finish material selections have been made and are approved by you. Our seasoned Project Managers understand the important issues of a wide variety of housing styles and construction techniques. A dedication to craftsmanship shows in everything we do. Expertise and a close working relationship with our designers ensure that projects flow smoothly.
We recently decided to do extensive remodeling to the interior of our home and selected Remodeling Dimensions to be our contractor.
