Bolt Design Studio

Working with bolt design Studio was nothing short of amazing! It was a super easy and simple process from beginning to end. Since I had spoken to your office on the phone to actually showing up! I couldn't have asked for a better group of individuals to have my back through this entire process!I would highly recommend keeping these pros a call!

Absolute garbage of an experience. She is hardly an architect. Only a CAD technician at best. Like someone else posted, she would vanish for weeks. Not days, but weeks together. We wouldnt hear anything from her over email or phone or text. The first time that happened, we were actually worried that something bad might have happened to her. And then realized that she just has an extremely poor work ethic. She delayed our project, and costed us so much time, money and effort. She abandoned us in between the project and didnot support us for the Permit process like stated in the contract. She works

I hired Nadia to put plans together for 2 bathroom remodels and a sliding door conversion to a window. Things started great ("great" as in Nadia responded to emails, text and/ or phone calls). Shortly after agreeing to doing business with her she was prompt in sending request for payment. After payment it took a little longer than committed to get the plans. Needless to say the plans were generated in a reasonable amount of time. Shortly after a decision was made to make some changes to the design. We were not expecting these changes to be done for free we just needed help getting them

We hired Nadia @ Bolt to help us tackle a complete remodel and addition of our home. We literally changed everything! Nadia was available and open to all of our questions, concerns, and most importantly, what we wanted to get out of the rebuild. We would send ideas and she came right back with what would or would not work in our space. Once we decided on a floor plan that we loved, Nadia got to work on all the technical stuff. She went to the City for plan check/submission and handled the whole process quite beautifully. The City had no issues with her completed plans and permits were issued so

I am a contractor in the Bay area. I've been searching for for an architect to help me with my clients drawing. I must have had over 10 different architects before I met Nadia. since the meeting with Nadia for the first time things get a lot easier and faster. she's really good at meeting new clients, she's very responsive, she always have great ideas of new designs, she know every building department and the right people to talk to. Her plans are easy to read and execute. She is a one stop shop for all your projects.

We just finished 2nd floor addition to our house in Campbell and we couldn't be happier. Nadia is very knowledgeable and we were happy to find her. She was helping along the way of the entire project from getting approval at the public hearing since we are in San Tomas Aquino neighborhood; getting permits at building and engineering departments and answering questions during construction.
She has excellent communication skills and always tried her best to fit us in her busy schedule. Thank you for a beautiful house. We would highly recommend her!

We signed a contract with Bolt Design for structural drawings and per the contract the first review was to take place after 14 days, well 14 days has come and gone. We have only received excuses to why the first review has not occurred. The reply to emails and phone calls are very few and far between.

Please honor you signed contract commitments.

I had the honor of working with Nadia on my commercial project. Nadia was transparent, helpful and very efficient with her work. Nadia went above and beyond to help us get our project done in the way that we envisioned it, and then some. I would personally recommend Nadia to anyone looking for an architect. I will surely come back to Nadia when I need another project done!

P.S. Nadia prices are more than reasonable!

We have paid her $1,400 to come up with a simple design for a bathroom addition and were to pay another $1,400 for the final product. 7 months later and we cannot get a hold of her. Emails, voice messages, nothing returned. Took our $1,400 and ran. Will be taking this to court soon.

We used Bolt Design Studio to do the entire construction drawings of our new 2-story house. Here is my feedback:
- Work was excellent, very little red-lined items by the building department when we submitted the plans.
- Fairly priced, as others have indicated.
- Flexible and easy to interact with.

Provided that you know a bit about plans and constructions, our experience with Bolt Design Studio was perfect.

As a side benefit, we also appreciated the recommendations provided for other services such as structural engineering, title 24, hvac design, etc.

I've worked with Bolt Design (Nadya) three times now, and my experience is between mixed and positive. 3.5 - 4 stars. It frustrates me a bit because the negatives (see below) are easy fixes - if fixed, Nadya would be an easy 5 star.

Note that Nadya isn't a fully accredited architect - thus her prices are significantly lower. I've used her only to create construction documents, not to do a full design.
