Do not use this company! 0 stars Alex will avoid communicating with you, Will add time that they didn't work and charge you with extra hidden fees.Doing a moving he called me and ask if the movers could stop at a store to buy drinks and cigarettes. Never again will I use this company on top of all that the movers punctured a hole in the side of my living room chair. Alex said he would call his insurance, two days later he said he was out of the office and will call me when he returned. Haven't heard from Alex since.

Dont use this service. I didn't read the reviews and I'm sitting here watching three movers waste my time and money Lilly-gagging on a move that should have taken no more than 3-4 hours. We are on hour six and I am LIVID because it says three men but one isn't working. I've had to get on the men and the store because this is BS. Don't waste your money- literally it's a waste because they THINK they're about to rip me off. I will NOT be paying full price for this MESS. And they intentionally carried the pieces by hand instead of the Dolly. Totally inefficient.

Worst service ever! Please people DO NOT use this company. We hired them to move us from apartment to house. We had moved 60% of property ourselves. They only had to move furniture from 3 bedrooms and freezer and sofa. Then load items from storage. I feel like they spanned out the time to get more money. They were supposed to assemble and did not even assemble. 1 guy would stand around on truck and rest. One worker asked for a beer. They hardly spoke English so wasted more time trying to communicate. The men were nudging each other and looking at my daughters butt. Very unprofessional company.

He estimated my move from Houston to Dallas and then upon unloading told his guys not to unload it until I paid him an additional $2000 “CASH” or he was going to keep my belongings until I paid him (and he had already charged my CC a total of $2300). We had to call the police and have them talk to Alex before he would release our belongings.

By far this has been the worst move I've ever made. The movers are very unprofessional past the introduction. They smoked weed and casually moved my things and comfortable enough to get the drinks my husband offered them out of the freezer. They did assist in packing some things but they were to be there between 1 and 2, didn't make it until 5:30 although Alex did call to inform me that that would make it between 4 & 5(he asked if I wanted a third guy to speed up the process at a lower rate to which I agreed...no speed), that might be on me since I work nights and knew I wouldn&apos

I made a last minute rush decision to hire this company and I wish read the reviews first. Never again. The work was kind of sloppy and should have cost less. First the workers had on no gloves or mask, this is protection and safety. I offered, The main person/driver refused to wear them, but the other two did wear a mask. The main guy was kind of loud, had a short tone, he was sweating profusely over my stuff and kept randomly spitting on the ground and took few breaks in between. Worst company ever, overcharged, abuse of time, caught best rate moving and storage staff sitting in truck instead of working, took 3 hours for lunch taking their truck with our property in the truck, they included additional charges that they did not work the entire time, arguing while on the clock and we were charged for it.

I wanted them to move my mother's thing into a storage room, as she was moving out to another home at a later time. I was incredibly disappointed in this company. After being recommended by 2 friends I expected for this experience to be seamless and worth recommending further.
They did not send regular staff employees, rather 3 recent high school graduates, who were incredibly slow and unskilled at professional moving. It took 7 hours to move what should have taken no more than 4 for items in storage into a home 45 min away.
They were 2 hours late with no update until I called after an hour after the scheduled start time
They attempted to scam me by adding on an extra "cash only fee" due to covid19

Good service from capable guys. They did a good job for me of moving a large TV. They work their way through some minor complication but delivered the delicate product in perfect condition within a two hour timeframe. They lose one star for being over an hour late although they were very good about keeping in touch with me as their day progressed. Good price. Good service. Able to handle the big stuff.

I have moved 3 times already and this last one with "Best Rate Moving" was the worst experience ever. My estimate was $255 the first two hours and then $95 per extra hour. I was never told there were hidden fees for materials like wrapping plastic which other companies include for free.

This company is disorganized, unhelpful, liars and the owners are extremely rude and condescending. Do not waste your time! I repeat, do not waste your time! When I first contacted best rate moving I asked and availability pricing via Yelp. Alex was quick to get me on the schedule and gave me all the information upfront. He did not send me any emails verifying the price or give me an option to add insurance. By law every moving company is supposed to give back $.60 per pound of items broken. And they also need to offer you insurance.

I'm giving this company 5 stars because they were very careful with my furniture and made sure everything was wrapped properly before moving. The only thing that was a small issue is they went over the time I had planned but due to it had been raining and wet I couldn't be upset. I'd rather the guys take time and move my things carefully. Alex did well with communication and trying to get me under the 2 hour mark. I would for sure use this company again. Thank you Best Rate Moving!

Used Best Rate recently because I thought they had the "best rate". They charge by the hour and I've moved several times with no problem using other companies, and had an idea of how long it should take a three men moving crew to move my belongings based on previous experience. They charge by the hour and I figured it would take them 3 hours tops.
Well it was more like a two man moving crew. Only two of the three knew what they were doing, but they all seemed to struggle here and there. They were too slow and there was not enough pep in their step if you ask me. They did not work

Affordable, quick, professional hoisting service for heavy 12' shuffleboard over 3rd floor balcony.
This table had to be lifted over 40' over the 3rd floor balcony from the outside. I was worried I had to rent some heavy equipment. I contacted most moving companies in Houston for hoisting my 250lb shuffleboard table with no luck. And those that could, were quoting ridiculous prices. From the first visit, Alex was very confident his team can get it done. And with a 5 man crew, they did.
Overall, very satisfied, and happy with the move. Best Rate fulfilled my dream of moving my table

I scheduled movers from 12-2pm, didn't see them so around 12:30 i called to ask what was going on and was told it would be closer to THREE because they got held up at another job.. i was furious, by3 i planned on being finished!!! So they didn't actually start moving my stuff until 4:32pm and we were finished by 6:15pm. Nowhere near the scheduled 12-2.
But Alex (the person you reach at the office) gave me a discount and was very apologetic and the 3 movers were fast and professional

After receiving astronomical quotes from other companies, I decided on Best Rate. Because I really only had an hour and a half worth of work, and everyone wanted 3 hrs of pay. Yeah, I don't get paid for work not done, so I don't believe you should either.

I contacted Best Rate and Alex was very helpful. Correspondence was as detailed as it could be. The price was given upfront and there were not any hidden costs.
The move: Surprisingly I had to change my move in date and time at the last minute and I was accommodated. They arrived on time and treated my belongings with care. It took about 3 hours (and my 2 teenagers helped with the unloading) but I am still very pleased with their work. I've since recommended Best Rate to a friend and he had the same good experience as well.
I would use them again.

So imagine that you are getting ready to move and all of a sudden an invited quest decides to hit town. My movers that I had scheduled originally weren't able to move me due to the storm so I had to scramble to find some movers that could move me in spite of the mess that harvey had left in Houston.
I received a lot of quotes and Best Rate Moving & Storage was simply best able to meet my needs in such a quick time. I've only hired movers a few times but I'll say this much watching those guys hustle to get me moved made me feel like I was being lazy.
