I canceled my reservation 3 days after making it, I was told I would get my deposit back within a couple weeks….almost 5 months later and I still have not received my money. They are impossible to get on the phone. When filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the company immediately responded and said my money would been sent out soon. That was in September…still no money at this point.

Please stay away from this company. I know most moving companies are shady but Route 66 is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. Half of our furniture was scratched or dented, glass doors broken. They lost 6 of our boxes, luckily we were able to track them down, no help from Route 66. I was on the phone on hold for who knows how long. They would recognize my phone number and just hang up . When I called enough a so called manager would tell me he or she would take care of us. After a year and a half I gave up calling Route 66. The insurance company offered us $30 for our trouble

Never ever do business with them, they delivered my stuff half broken and there is no response from anyone when I tried to claim.
Arthur that was his name who said they are not brokers or sub contractors but these guys own nothing, you wouldn’t realize they are brokers till they take your payment. Don’t go with them for your move. I had nothing but terrible experience with this guy.
They broke my TV, coffee table, and buffet!! Now no response whatsoever.

Stay away from this company for your own benefit! After getting daily calls to push for us to choose them as our moving company, we signed the contract with them to move us from CA to TN, and then it was almost impossible to get a hold of their representative or anyone else! We would have to wait on hold for minimum 20 minutes to over an hour for them to pick up, and they would pick up and immediately hang up as well, just to start the callback and waiting process again. They also DON’T tell you that they are just a broker and they subcontract to another company after taking 33% of the fee.

This was a nightmare!!!! They are not professional and will break your items. Nothing was wrapped. Everything was literally thrown in boxes. Trying to get our items delivered was when I felt like I had been scammed. No one answered the phone or emailed back. Only after putting in a bbb complaint did they get back to me to schedule delivery. Some how they turned it around on me. They will not deliver on your requested day and make it clear it’s just a request. The delivery mover only had 75% of our household items and it was delivered 8 days later than requested. I was told to put in a claim.

I will never use anyone but Route 66 Moving Company. I would refer and trust this company to anyone, even my grandma. Always on time, professional, detail-oriented, creative...simply put, the kind of "no problem, we'll make it work" kind of guys. All my stuff is always handled carefully, and my overall moving experience as stress-free as it gets. I highly recommend these guys.

My grandparents recently moved from Florida to Massachusetts. They are both 80 years old and hired this company to help them with moving and packing. They did a virtual estimate by looking at their condo over zoom. On the day they arrived they ended up forcing my grandparents to pay them an unprecedented extra $8,000!! Since they were leaving that day and the new people were moving in the following day, they were left with no choice, but to pay them the money. We have moved several times and this was the absolute worst experience of our life. Was quoted a price and then we revised something’s two days before pick. Price changed so paid a second deposit. Original quote was $11,000 then went to $14,000. They brokered our move out to a company who arrived day after they said they would be there. The day they showed up our price went from $14,000 to $27,000 then the war began! Got in heated arguments with the head guy from trucking company from start to finish! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! I have no idea how they have so many positive reviews. I think they subcontract longer, out of state moves. They moved belongings from FL to my storage warehouse in Philadelphia. We paid for "white glove" service, which was a scam. They packed up several pictures and just threw them in a box, no bubble wrap. Everything showed up completely smashed, boxes are missing (and still are), and they ruined a family heirloom of ours, a dollhouse that my grandfather made. Once they get your money, they are completely unresponsive to any issues. BEWARE!!!
