Hanson Remodeling Design Build was formed by Dan Hanson in 2008. His intrigue into the craft of home building and remodeling began early with family tours of architectural homes. After interning with a manufacturing company prior to his senior year in college, Dan passed on a management position offer and graduated from Luther College with degrees in Business Management and Philosophy.
He set out to Colorado to explore his intrigue of building. He knew that he did not want to wake up in middle management in his 30's wondering if he should have pursued carpentry. He earned a position as a finish carpentry apprentice and was hooked. He moved to the Twin Cities after traveling in Canada and South America to live in an urban setting and enjoy the profession of remodeling.

I worked with Hanson Remodeling this past winter for a half bathroom addition and was extremely happy with not only how the project turned out but also how easy they were to work with. I worked with Dan, Rebecca, and Grant and all three were so great to work with. From the beginning of the project to the end I felt comfortable with each step and completely confident in the work that was being done.
Dan was very responsive from the start and took plenty of time to answer my questions and made sure I understood the full process of the project.

Critical: Professionalism
I live in the neighborhood and am looking at a 40K-50k remodel. They declined my request to even bid the project based on one phone call where I provided all the information they asked for. I seemed to be judged even before we had chance to meet. I would not recommend this company to any of my neighbors.

Hanson Remodeling was awesome to work with from start to finish.

We’ve worked with Hanson Remodeling on four large remodel projects for our home (involving kitchen living room, dining room, bathrooms, entryway, basement, laundry room) and have been VERY happy with everything each time. The work quality, price, timeliness of completion, and interactions with the whole team have been great. Dan and Karla are very patient, and help you figure out exactly what you want to do. I highly recommend working with them for any remodel project !

We worked with Hanson Remodeling to finish the basement in our 1908 home. Our experience with the company was excellent, Dan Hanson and the team working on our project were wonderful.
Throughout our project, Hanson Remodeling was dedicated to being on time with the original calendar and when there were changes or delays, they were clearly communicated. Matt Johnson was the lead on our team and he was consistently excellent with his communication and quality of his work. We were always notified when there were any changes to the usual workday schedule and when we could expect Hanson's partner

My only regret working with Dan Hanson Remodeling is that my project wasn't longer so we could have spent more time interacting! From beginning to end, Dan was thoughtful, friendly, and client-focused. My husband and I struggled to zero in on what exactly we wanted with the budget we had, and Dan patiently saw us through three or four entirely different project ideas before helping us achieve our dream space. Our carpenter, Matt, feels like a member of our family now. I can't say enough positive things about Dan and his people!

Working with Hanson remodeling was terrific from start to finish. The design component/service was customized to your needs. The team began by getting to know your style, preferences, intended functionality, budget and most importantly you! Upon establishing scope/intent of project, conversations were held regarding product/color/finish selections. The team provided 4 or 5 samples of each combination and assisted with coordination ideas/themes as necessary. It was great to see/touch the material in your home and yet not being overwhelmed with options. The final component was the most impressive
