Once again Bair Plumbing exceeded expectations. Chris DeLuca responded to our home to re-install the disposal, faucet and dishwasher after a countertop replacement. He and his assistant were able to get the job done even though it looked a bit complex at first. This is the third time Chris has come to get the job done. I will continue to use Bair for my plumbing needs as they arise. I know in this particular time its hard to find good reliable workers, but you need to make sure Chris stays!

We have been using Robert Baier Plumbing, Heating and Air condition for years. We had a new furnace installed with new duct work a few years ago and an A/C unit installed this summer with additional duct work as well. We recently contacted Robert Bair on September 26 2021 for what we thought was a clogged sewer line. We then learned that the line had shifted at the foundation of our house causing a major repair. They have your back! We've called them for several emergency plumbing issues and they always know how to solve it. The guys are always friendly and congenial. They must screen for good personality in addition to good plumbing skills when they hire people. One time they talked us through a DIY fix on the phone saving us $$$. You can trust these guys! I had a sewer back up which was what discovered and it ended up being that the bigger long term problem was the sewer pipe connected to the outside sewer was sheared. I was referred to this company by Carmen
LaCassa who discovered the initial pipe clogged and cleaned(good work by him as well) but this outside job needed to be fixed as well by a larger company who could handle this type of work. Communications with this company was great. So the work was scheduled and I accepted their quote.
For two days Adam and Jonathan came out timely, to do the agreed repair and I apologize if on day two

While we had several months to wait for parts (due to sourcing and Grohe manufacturing-still missing one handle) RB was timely. However, when the installation required a tool that the technician didn’t have, we were told that it would be readily available within days. When I called about 3 weeks later, I was told that the only note in my file was regarding the handle. Apparently, no note regarding the special tool was attached to my file, so I was not contacted when it arrived. After that was taken into account, everything was fine. We have used RB for over 25 years and continue to be happy with

I had just purchased a house in the area and I needed a leaking valve replaced. A friend Recommended Robert Bair. The people in the office were professional and courteous. They sent the plumber out the next day and he made the repair in short order at a fair price. I also was somewhat in the market for a new HVAC system and had been getting prices on a complete changeout. I requested an estimate and the rep came out a few days later. I called to replace a faulty outdoor hose bib faucet and to add an air chamber to stop the hammering of a hot water supply pipe that another plumbing company's crew had modified when they removed my water softener because our Lake Michigan water needs no softening,
Jason and Ernie were available the same day and promptly fixed my problems. They were very helpful and efficient, did great work and clesned up after themselves. Robert Bair plumbers are usually available on the same day that you call to schedule work and always do good work that completely addresses my plumbing jobs.

A bad smell in my basement had developed over a few weeks & in a previous occurrence of a similar smell resulted in another large plumbing company finding that our cast iron sewer pipe had corroded on the top & needed replacing. Since now the remaining portion of the house's original cast iron pipe was over the furnace & would require furnace removal for a potential repair I called Robert Bair. The technician Jack who was very professional looked at all my piping ( not easy to get to ) to find the source of the smell. He felt it was the sump pump pit & floor drain, & recommended

I can't even give 1 star. Terrible service all around. We scheduled for a rep to come out and after assessing our A/C it took them 2 months to quote for the parts. Once we had a second appointment, a senior serve rep showed up and gave a completely different assessment of or unit. He indicated a Comfort Specialist should come out. We set appointment for today 3-5 and he didn't show. Ridiculous to say the least. I want my money back!

I am a little behind on my review of Robert Bair.
In February an RB technician came to my home for issues with my furnace. They charge me $87 for the "service call" and the technician informed me "nothing is wrong with your furnace", but they billed me anyway.
Sadly, one month later the furnace we once again not working correctly. I woke up to a 62 degree home. I called and a second technician was dispatched to my home. Luckily this technician, Dave was well trained and located the problem. I was charge $122 for a "minor repair II" and the "service call"

Robert b. i am very familiar on how a business is run, one thing is certain, you NEVER quote a price for a part ,in writing i might add, for over 500% of the cost, i was able to find it on amazon in 1 minute ! I please do not tell me that your employee doesnt have a rough estimate of costs for a simple part , if you use robert bair just pay special attention to the parts cost, amazon is very handy !

We're a return Bair customer, & called Bair this morning because our kitchen and laundry sinks were not draining (& so too washing machine & dishwasher outflow). Our own plunging & rodding did not resolve it. Grant R. came out in an hour & set to work analyzing & solving the problem, including cutting some utility-room drywall and exposing a long covered drain in the laundry room. In addition, he explained in detail the layout of our plumbing to help us think through potential future problems. We chose to have him install a garbage disposal while he was here. Excellent

Called Robert Bair out for a clogged kitchen drain. Amanda did the scheduling and also notified me when the technician was 30 minutes away. She could not have been nicer or more helpful. Ben arrived on time, super professional and even put on booties over his shoes! He checked out my sink, provided me a very reasonable quote which I agreed to, and he went to work fixing the problem. A shirt time later he was done. He left no mess behind and was solidly professional.

About a year ago I called Robert Bair Plumbing to help deal with a leaking issue.
I called this business because the company tags were all over the house systems from the prior owner - gas lines, the water heater, the Sump Pump, in the laundry room etc. I figured they know the house and its issues that must be good. ( It's an historic home after all, and stewardship is important to us ).
I was SO underwhelmed.
I was told there was a $75 to show up and then ......? The agent who came could not give me a cogent plan of attack, even after I told him what my husband had already done, laboriously

What a rip off !! Extremely over-priced. Can they fix things? Yes, but you absolutely must be ready to pay five times the highest amount you can think of paying. After using them for a few years, I've finally had enough of their rip-off take and advantage of your situation tactics - I will not be calling them ever again.
They charged me $225 for a heating ignightor in my furnace that is currently available on amazon for $14, it literally took less than 5 minutes to replace. Then they zapped me for a $97 service charge on mid-day tuesday (non-emergency). Oh, they did put shoe covers

For the past three days, we have been trying to communicate with a plumber or a service person from Robert Bair. Completely shocked by the response. We have been doing business with Robert Bair for the last ten years. Our family has spent a lot of money on their services but it is coming to a halting end. First, the receptionist told us that all service people were in a meeting all day so no one could help us. When we called the second day, we were asked to look for service elsewhere. Robert Bair is ahead of the game when it comes to servicing Chicagoland. Our house had a clog within the main line causing a toilet and shower to overflow. When it occured a second time a friend recommended Robert Bair. All it took was one phone call and a service man appeared as scheduled a few hours later.
The work was outstanding and painless. Within less than an hour the clog was removed by simply rodding out the clogged main. Somewhat expensive compared to Mom and Pop shops out there but the quick work made up for it nonetheless.
